Had an amazing time at Ripped! Went with a group to get friendship tattoos and it was such a blast. The place was super clean and welcoming, and the staff were so friendly. They even offered us snacks and cold drinks, which was a lifesaver on a hot summer day. Jose was our artist, but honestly, Id be happy with any of the artists there. They all made us feel so special, and even the owner took the time to chat with our group. It really felt like a special Baltimore experience.

I’ve been going to Ripp’d Canvas for all my tattoo work for almost 3 years now. All the artists there are super talented, professional, and welcoming. The shop is always clean, and sanitary. Mike W. is the artist who I work with and he is amazing. We have a special relationship and I trust his artistic approach to bringing my ideas to life in such a magical way! Trust is so important when we are talking about body modifications that are permanent!! He never fails to absolutely exceed my expectations. Everyone I meet is always super impressed with the work and I recommend Ripp’d Canvas and Mike to everyone who asks!

Went to Ripp’d with a group of us to commemorate a relay race we did together. The owners and space were incredibly accommodating to us gathering, talking, and hanging out all afternoon to closing. I had Jose for my first ever tattoo, and it turned out great. He was really supportive and flexible with the adjustments I wanted made to the design right before hand. Would 100% recommend the parlor and artist!

I had a first session with Ria and it was a fantastic experience. She was friendly, the location is nice, and the shop is beautiful. This is only the first of three visits to finish my piece and Im already in love with the new tattoo! I cant wait to see her again for the rest of the art!

Jose V was excellent! He was hella patient with my first-timer nerves and did a great job with my tattoo. A group of my friends all went in together. Jose was friendly, professional, and kept us moving. His shop mates were also very chill. Would definitely go again — lots of talent all in one place!

Started my leg sleeve with Cael . Worked with me on the design leading up to the appointment, was very patient the day of with the design and placement of the stencil when I got there. Really cool guy and very talented and took breaks when needed and continues to follow up and help with the aftercare for the tattoo . Tattoo came out better then I could imagine and highly recommend and looking forward to getting more work with him in the future.

I had a custom piece done by Ria! I gave her my ideas and she put them all together and made the most beautiful forearm piece for me today! The company was amazing as well and I genuinely had a great time during the whole process. I will be coming back for sure! 10/10 recommend!!

✨️Came in for my first tattoo today and was seen by Sun Estes. Shared a design Id drawn up hoping for some improvements, and they were able to make it perfect. I had such a great experience getting a tattoo done here and highly recommend! It was my first time at Ripp’d Canvas and the space is super welcoming from the time you first walk in. I had my session with Frankie and I would absolutely go back for another piece. He got things started right on time and was super professional and friendly throughout the whole process. His energy (along with the other artists that were there) was really genuine and made me feel immediately comfortable. I drove a little over an hour to get here and I’d absolutely do it again.He’s also insanely knowledgeable about anime so I was able to have a great conversation with him and leave with some good recommendations. Not to mention, the actual tattoo came out perfect and is exactly what I hoped for. All in all, I’d highly recommend coming here, especially coming to Frankie. I’ve already started recommending a few friends to his page and will definitely be coming back for another piece in the future.

I went for a walk in at Rippd canvas w/ my partner and it was an amazing experience! This was my first shop tattoo and the artist Chris was so friendly and was able to easily capture an amazing piece that holds dear to my heart. The shop is clean, the staff are all friendly and my partner also walked away happy with her tattoo as well. The pricing is acceptable for what I expected and I will definitely be returning in the future! Chris made everything so easy and explained everything to me so well that I felt 120% comfortable today. I cannot wait to work with him more in the future for my next pieces.

Me and a friend walked in to inquiry about an ear piercing …. Not sure who the guy name is but he was really rude and I’m guessing he didn’t want the money that day or whatever. He was on his phone the entire time not even making eye contact while speaking to us, and gave us a 5min wait time but he sat on his phone instead of actually preparing for the piercing.

I had a great experience at this shop. Dominic is an awesome technician/artist. He was friendly and professional and did a great job on my tattoo. I would recommend him to anyone.

I was recommended here by my cousin. After getting my tattoo done, i came back a week later for another one! Lol. Everyone is so nice and encouraging. Jose is their apprentice and is wonderful. He is doing my sleeve and has been very helpful. And his coworkers are super encouraging when trying to help him perfect is craft.. everyone has been a Joy!!

Found this place on the random, took my friends and I as a walk in and Franky was legit. If youre into gaming or Anime tattooes hes your guy. Everyone was super friendly. Celt like getting inked at a family home. Check thus place out.

Ria Rabitt did my tattoo. I was able to complete an inquiry form and she got back to me within 72 hours. I was allowed to schedule weeks in advance and on the day of the appointment; Ria was there sketching my idea and asking for input. I think its important to allow tattoo artist to have free rein and Ria did not disappoint. It didnt hurt and the vibes of the shop were just fun. I had my best friend with me and we were chatting it up with everyone in there. Highly recommend Ria and highly recommend this shop.

Ria is amazing!! My first time at the shop, via a referral, and will definitely be back. The shop is clean and staff is friendly. Rippd Canvas is an incredible Black-owned tattoo establishment that I plan to continue to patron for the rest of my future tattoos. Dom, the owner, was the artist who completed my tattoo work. The tattoo is so beautiful and exactly what I wanted it to be. Dom is easy going and an extremely great artist. Easy to speak to throughout the five hour process and the rest of the crew was so awesome and funny to chat with as well. I HIGHLY recommend getting your first or next tattoo at Rippd Canvas (I love Doms work but all of the artists are so incredible). I am looking forward to going back very soon. Did a last minute walk in today with Ria Rabbit at the PigTown Festival. It was an absolutely amazing experience. The entire shop was laid back and welcoming. Ria was light handed, and the shading is on point. Can’t wait to go back for more ink.

I had two tattoo touch ups with Ria Rabbit. She did such a good job with both of them.. She did both tattoos on the same day, which took a 3-3.5hrs. Ria was communicative and listened. She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. She had a light hand with the ink and it hurt much less than i anticipated. Overall just a flawless experience.The shop has good vibes. I really enjoyed interacting with the staff.

Happened to be in town, called when they opened to ask about walk-in availability. They let me know they accept them all the time, so I dropped by with a reference image. The artist who was originally slated to accept my walk-in lit up upon seeing the image and brought over Frankie, their local anime tattoo enthusiast. He was so hype to bring the ink to life and it showed through the focus and attention to detail he put on the piece. To top it off, he offered some excellent merch. Will be back!

Moms been getting tats from here for 3 years so I went there as well for my first tat. They were super nice and have a beautiful shop with art everywhere. Mike did my tattoo. He was very instructive for me first tattoo and talked me through the whole process and did an amazing job!

My son got the family crest done at a shop in another state. It looked way better than my old one... until Tony reworked mine. Now mine is better. Its absolutely gorgeous and didnt look this good when it was done 17 years ago.

Today I had the pleasure of getting a new tattoo from Ripped Canvas and the talented tattoo artist Dom. The shop and all of the artists were very inviting and the shop is decorated with so much creativity. I gave Dom my idea through email and when I came ion to get the tattoo, he showed me his idea and it was even more amazing than the original idea. I was extremely happy with the final result and would recommend Rippd Canvas to everyone I know.My experience was truly exceptional.

I made an appointment with Gina ahead of coming in - this was my first visit to Rippd Canvas. I was happy with the environment. It was super welcoming.Everyone was really friendly and welcoming, and after spending about 4 hours in the shop, I have to say everyone was awesome. I felt like the people who worked there were like a big family, and that was super cool.I also liked how the other artists would come around and compliment Gina on her work, and it seemed like none of the artists suffered from a rockstar complex. No one was too good, and it made for a really great experience.As for the work, Gina SSLLAAYYEEDD. Literally, she took my vision and made it better than I could have ever imagined it. Im beyond happy. So happy. Im writing this a couple of weeks out from my tattoo date and I am still giddy over it.She did the key/water color, my Useful Human text and did something was told was un-doable - and that was to fix the blown out lettering on my wrist tattoos. You can see the before and afters in the photo I posted. Today, now that theyre healed, they look brand new, and the lettering is clear as hell. Im impressed. I literally was told I couldnt get it fixed, that Id have blown out black lumps forever unless I wanted to do a cover-up.She proved them wrong. She killed it. And I will 100% be back to Rippd Canvas. 100%.

I realllyyyyy wanted to like this place and for this shop to be my new tattoo home but my experience was just weird to say the least. Like I don’t know what other word to use but WEIRD in regards to the entire atmosphere in there and my tattoo artist. My tattoo guy Mike just seemed super distance like he didn’t feel like being there, let alone doing my tattoo. The work is okay, I got something super small and I’ll give it a 7/10. But overall I just wasn’t feeling the experience. My artist just seemed really cold, barely talking, very short and honestly just weird unwelcoming energy. I had ask that he make the drawing a bit smaller at one point and he just continued looking at TV, said not one word, walked away and came back with the small drawing. The customer service just wasn’t there for me. So I’ll say this, if you’re looking for an inviting environment with engaging artist, I don’t think you’ll find it here. And my tattoo overall is just okay, my overall rating, 3 stars.

Fun and chill shop. Very laid back & open minded environment. The staff are all very friendly and make you feel comfortable. I’ve gotten 3 tattoos so far all done by Dom and he is very talented along with the rest of the artists. Inside is extremely clean and they sell dope clothes. They have books, magazines and a huge tv with Xbox & Netflix in the waiting area. Also a social club, so people do stop in to hang out or just say hi!! Good vibes all around!!

Just got my 6th tattoo at Ripp’d Canvas. Every artist I’ve worked with has been accommodating and collaborative. Vibes are immaculate and I’ve never regretted any time I’ve spent in the shop.

I had a great experience here. They are all so funny and easy to talk to. Jose did some super good work for me. I was in Baltimore from out of town and just happened upon this place and am so thankful I found it. I will be coming back and bringing a friend because her tattoo needs to be as awesome as mine.

Had a great experience with a tattoer during his apprenticeship. planned several tattoos with him, and during communication after the counseltation i stopped getting responses. unsure what the issue was i continued to check in, but continued to be ignored. i spoke to several friends and tattoo artists trying to understand what i did wrong. used the bathroom there on my mail route and everyone in the shop was clearly annoyed with my presence and unfriendly. up until this point every other time i entered everyone was happy to see me. i tried several times to understand so i can apologize and move on. seems like the artists here are fine with ghosting clients and laughing at them when entering the space, avoiding conversations, and walking out to my mail truck just to walk back to the shop. didnt want to write this review but i felt very disrespected after being a paying and communicative client, and the artist decided to ghost me intead of simply telling me why Im unserviable. perhaps Im the only one that has ever been treated this way, but other reviews say otherwise.... still happy about the permanent art i have collected from this artist, but now there is a negative connotation to it and i cant recommend the shop anymore due to this experience. i dont expect any reponse from the shop since Ive been blacklisted for a reason unknown to me. just a point of view that may make others feel less alone if they have a similar experience. i thought it was all in my head until i entered the shop and felt the vibes completely change... its very abnormal.

I was in the Baltimore area on leave, and decided to get something to commemorate a new chapter in life. The guys at Rippd Canvas were super personable, and helpful on the phone, and had me in an hour after I called. The shop was clean and had a very laid back atmosphere. After a quick consult about what I wanted, Rico took the time to draw up exactly what I had pictured in my head. He was super meticulous and professional throughout the process, making sure my tattoo was straight and the lines were even, and checking in with me throughout the 30mins I was in the chair. I am absolutely beyond thrilled with the final product, and happy to have it on my skin. I would recommend this shop any day of the week!

I liked the website so the next step was to stop by to check out the atmosphere. I was very pleased to see the location lived up to it’s website. The artist were friendly, professional, and flexible. I scheduled a tattoo app, and to my satisfaction, I left very happy. Chris is THE MAN! I went in with plans for one tattoo and left with two. Lol... not only does he have swag, but he’s skilled, easy going, professional, and most importantly he DELIVERED. I love my tattoos. I’m lazy and normally don’t go back and review but I felt like I had too because I love this black-owned shop. I walked in on a random weekday and got a bicep tattoo by Ria and then booked a sternum tattoo for the following Sunday also with Ria. She went above beyond what I asked for. I suck at explaining ideas, but saw her work online and was thrilled that she was up next to take a walk in. Based on my vague description of what I was looking for I received 2 beautiful tattoos that I STILL can’t stop staring at weeks later. Her work is so beautiful and she is so sweet and funny. She also is a talented painter too and has her work displayed at her station which is nice to look at while you’re getting ink. On that note, everyone in that shop is talented. I was watching them tattoo (and pierce) people both days I was there and knew I had found the place I’m coming back too. Ria for tattoos because her style is just what I personally Iove, but everyone specializes in something different so you gone find what you want too. The energy is great, everyone is hilarious, and the owner is dope too. Anyways, SPRINT don’t even just run to Ripp’d Canvas.

My friend and I came to get matching tattoos, we live far away and hit 2 accidents on the highway that night that made us late for our first appointment at a different shop. We looked everywhere in the Towson and Baltimore area and Ripped Canvas were the first people that offered to do our tattoos, even though it was getting later in the afternoon. Everyone there was so nice and we fit both of our tattoos in before closing. The price was also reasonable and fair. They wrapped us our tattoos (which look fantastic) and sent us on our way; overall a very pleasant experience. Thank you!

I got a flash done by Inky a few months ago and shouldve wrote this then, but anyways: a little warning for the girlies, do not get a tattoo by Inky. Not only did he not listen to me about what I wanted, but he did the tattoo while high (literally told me he was) and flirted with me as soon as his needle was in my skin despite an age difference of like 14 years (which he was aware of.) The other tattoo artists seemed great tho, my friends liked them.

I could not have asked for a better experience! I went as a walk-in and waited no more than 10 minutes for an artist, Jose Vigos to be able to start on my tattoo. This place was amazing! My husband and I came to Baltimore this weekend and wanted to get some ink done to commemorate our time in the city. We had trouble trying to find any place that did walk-ins. When we called,we e were greeted warmly and told to come on. We worked with Chris Mallos and Kris O. They were amazing in the way they worked with us. Great place and staff. Came in from out of town and did a walk in Sunday with my son and met Donovan who was very accommodating and helped get us set up quickly. This place was awesome my fiancé and I took advantage of the couples tattoo promotion. It had family friendly atmosphere which I loved. I felt very comfortable. Needless to say we both loved our tattoos. Will definitely be going back again. The staff and owner were very professional and knowledgeable. Prices were reasonable. Definitely check them out.

Probably the best tattoo shop in MD. I did so much research and was super nervous to get my first tattoo but was totally comfortable when I stepped into the shop. Everyone was so relaxed and helpful and the studio was super clean and professional. I got my tattoo at such a reasonable price and it healed perfectly. Highly recommend!

Showed up with friends for some walk-in tattoos/piercings. The staff was extremely welcoming and made us feel at ease. Great place! We were a little sketched out at first due to the fact that every other place closes at 8pm 😲. We arrived at about 9:30pm and they welcomed us in. They were extra cool! Down to earth people great conversation. I was super taken back by the fact that hat they stay open to get all four of us in. They could have easily turned us away and said that it was to late. All in all the work was good atmosphere was good and they even have extra gear you can buy. Got myself a nice shirt. If I go back to the Baltimore area I will definitely stop by!!

My Girlfriend and I got tattoos here over the weekend both by Domonic carter and IG:@babyblue_TTT.. Both did amazing work and took us same day we called. The whole staff was very friendly and made the whole experience worth it. 10/10 would recommend.

So today March 13th 2021 I went and got my first tattoo. It was a amazing experience. Chris the tattoo artist mage me feel so comfortable. He drew up what I wanted(all I knew Id I wanted my son name on my hand) the layout he came up with is AMAZING. For this being my first tattoo I feel like I dont want anyone but him to tattoo me. To start off I’ve being getting tattooed for as long as I’ve been able too (16) I’ve been to multiple different artists over the years but I’ve never been to an artist I’ve liked as much as Chris Mallos. Can Chris not only deliver a flawless tattoos but he’s a great person. I really appreciate the fact that he’s not only a tattoo artist but he’s an artist as well, everyone at rip’pd canvas is! Hands down the best studio I’ve ever been to. Chris can also do beautiful lasting color work on anyone which can sometimes be difficult to achieve so if you’re a poc like me I highly recommend ripp’d canvas as well if you want bold/vibrant work that stays.

I have wanted to go here since it opened and I was not disappointed. First, I love thats its in pigtown because I wanna spend money in my neighborhood. It was only my second ever tat but I knew exactly what I wanted. The atmosphere was chill and made me feel comfortable. The artist were talented and you can tell the care about the craft. When you go in, you never know who is going to be in there . I love that it seems welcoming to everyone. Music playing was amazing. Actually tattooing was great. It was amazing!! I got my septum done there and it was super clean and a overall good vibe, the piercer tried to get me and my cousin (who got a stub piercing) as comfortable as possible, but I just hoped they told me the gauge needle they used to it would be easier to buy jewelry when the time comes.

I just googled for a parlour and i thiught i should visit this place as it has good reviews. I never thought i would give a review but, the job done by Chris was awesome. Staff was very polite, I have asked for multiple sizes as i am not really sure but Chris was very patient. I love my tattoo, it was perfect!!

Though my complaint is directed to the piercer and not the tattoo artist, overall it does reflect very bad service as an establishment nonetheless. So my experience at the rippd canvas tattoo shop get a zero stars out of 5 mainly because Ive been there TWICE with the same awful service both times. The first time I had to wait about close to 4 hours in the store gof the piercer to show up, and second time I even made an appointment in the morning and then had to wait even longer the second time. Worst part of all IS THAT I SAW THE PIERCER PARK HIS MOTORCYCLE THEN LEAVE!! He never returned, so I just ended up going to another tattoo shop and getting my piercing and tattoo. Overall, I feel like if Im going to give my money away Id like to at least feel appreciated. ZERO of 5 stars!!

Is it normal to walk in and to be looked at and passed by by staff members, and not have a single one greet or acknowledge my presence? Because that’s what happened today. I 100% understand that there of course was going to be a wait for walk ins, but I stood at the front desk for about fifteen minutes with staff members looking at me and nothing. Two passed by me like I was invisible. I only came all the way out here because yesterday I called and asked if walk ins were accepted and I was told yes. After about 30 minutes I was a little embarrassed and without a word being spoken to me I left. Very shocked that two people didn’t even ask me what I was here for or if I needed help or even hello, when a guy who came in after me was immediately greeted and taken care of.

Got my nose pierced and it was a great experience. The shop is beautiful and the people are really nice. My piercer seemed to know what she was doing and did a great job on making me feel comfortable

This shop Illegally tattooed a 17 year old a few weeks ago which for those that dont know is a violation in the state of Maryland even with parents permission....Bad practice , with bad artists who cant spell correctly , we do not recommend them

The artist was good and he is the owner... Points to say... You need to set up privacy as a women one should feel comfortable in the establishment solo.. Dont have unnecessary people hanging around this is a place of business not a hang out.. You have to many artist and not that space have a rotating schedule for every one..
