Studio 7 is the best! Tom is an amazing artist and insanely talented. I researched several tattoo studios and artists in MD for awhile before choosing Studio 7. Tom is by far the best artist hands down. He was super professional, easy to communicate and plan with, and made my idea, specific details and the designs I wanted come to life. The studio was very clean, cool, comfortable, easy to get to, and the pricing was fair. Even though some areas hurt way more than I anticipated or remembered from my first two tatts, Tom was really kind and patient with me and helped me get through it. Will definitely be going back for more work! Love my new pieces!

Can’t recommend this place highly enough. Josh did my tattoo, he was open to my suggestions and was extremely professional. Studio was CLEAN & had a great vibe to it. The door says “by appt only” but don’t let that discourage you. They do take walk ins. I originally called to walk in that day but then made an appointment. I will definitely be back, thank you Josh for such a great experience.

This was my first visit to the shop. Tom did a large piece on the inside of my forearm. We had to reschedule initially because I had a family emergency and Tom was understanding and easy to reschedule. He prepared the sketch in advance and sent it over. The first sketch, while amazing looking, wasn’t what I had envisioned. I better articulated what I wanted to Tom and he got a new drawing done quickly. This was on point and exactly what I was thinking. I was looking for a representation of a quote “Internally you should be a monster, but you should know how to control it”. I saw for 6 hours Tom was awesome. Great music great conversation. The shop was clean. The pain was minimal, which surprised me because the inner forearm is very sensitive. The piece turned out great! I can’t wait for it to heal. I’ll add more pictures once it’s healed

Got a tattoo cover up by Tom. Let me start off by saying the customer service is above and beyond. Respectful, courteous, and considerate. Not to mention the skill set. Tom Chetelat is the most detailed, focused and talented tattoo artist Ive been to. He put immense amount of work and detail into a tattoo rendering, and gave me an entire art piece I can keep with me forever. You wouldnt believe how quickly he worked while providing such incredible detail. He tattooed so well that I was able to sit for an entire 10 hours and still have minimal discomfort. I cant wait to come back for more!

Tom went in on this tattoo! Started with the initial talk. Listens to your ideas and what you’re visualizing then puts it together to create a masterpiece. The whole process was easy. Every piece I get from here out will be done by Tom

I wanted to get my significant other a tattoo for his birthday, no other place would accept us other than this shop. They were friendly, an excellent service. Just got inked up by Lu today! Their work, attention to detail and professionalism are nothing short of amazing. This was my first time getting a tattoo at Studio 7 and by Thomas. The space is clean, very inviting, and spacious. Thomas and the other employees were extremely professional and kind and had great personalities, so you feel welcome. Thomas explained to me before the appointment what was to be expected and had any and all questions answered. I can not get over how he made such a breathtaking and realistic tattoo idea come to life on my arm. He worked for 11 straight hours, never lost focus, and it was evident he was so engrossed in his art and perfecting every detail, and he has a true passion for his work. This is the begining of the sleeve we started today, and I can not wait to see how the rest of this brilliantly creative artist uses the rest of the space on my arm. Also, I would like to note I did not feel like the tattoo hurt at all or I needed him to stop due to pain or being uncomfortable. In fact, I only felt a mild burning and soreness approx 10 min before the 11-hour tattoo completion (I anicipated pain and the need to pre-numb). I can not recommend this company and this artist enough; he has a true talent.Cara Heym

I got a tattoo done by Tom yesterday. I totally underestimated how bad it was going to hurt and I was struggling really bad trying to make it through the whole thing. Not once did he get mad, annoyed or frustrated. He made me feel totally comfortable. The tattoo he did is perfect and exactly what I wanted! I’ll definitely be going to see him again!

This studio is absolutely amazing without a doubt. Tom did an outstanding job seamlessly blending a half forearm sleeve into a full one. He skillfully freehanded the waves, and the tattoo turned out even better than I had hoped. I am extremely satisfied with the result. The atmosphere at the shop is welcoming, tidy, and fantastic. If there was an option to give more then 5 stars Tom and the Artist they have at Studio 7 they 100% deserve them. Tom was unbelievably professional and went above and beyond with my tattoo plus a very Clean and welcoming environment. If you are in the canton area or just looking for an artist Tom is the guy you have to go to. Tom at Studio 7 Tattoo was amazing throughout the whole tattoo process. He responded quickly to my email, was flexible with appointment dates, and worked with me on designing the tattoo. My very first tattoo experience and it was horrible!! I don’t remember the tattoo artists name but I came in to get my first tattoo in honor of my mom who had just passed away. It was going great at first but at the end of my session he said “next time get something worth my time” just because it was a small tattoo. No matter the size of the tattoo you’re still getting paid for it and it was completely disrespectful and out of line for him to say something like that. Either way the tattoo came out crooked and the line work is messy.

Lu Brewer did a beautiful job on my tattoo, I love it!! She created a drawing from a picture I sent her and added some personal touches. Great job, super happy!

Tom Chetelat, the owner, tattooed me for about 4 hours. Not my first tattoo, however, first time @ Studio 7. Tom made me feel very welcomed. He and his colleague, Tyler, made the experience quite enjoyable…I almost didn’t feel the pain from a needle digging in my arm lol. 10/10 would recommend. Cheryl has been working on my sleeve and I gave her full reign over the design. I had an idea and I couldn’t think of how to incorporate the two, so I let her design the sleeve and she did not disappoint. Lu made our experience amazing! They took the time to listen to our ideas, was communicative, and accommodating. The lines are crisp, and the overall design is exactly what we had envisioned.

Cheryl did an amazing job with my tattoo. It looks amazing, and the details are really well done, even on the parts that she hand drew. My only concern was the pain level. She didnt use much Vaseline while she was tattooing, so the burn built up quickly and for the last half of the nearly 8 hour tattoo I was in agony. However, the watercolor style that she did involved a lot of going back over the same spots, so I expected it to some extent. The end result is fantastic though, and Ive been getting a lot of compliments on it

Tom is an amazing tattoo artist, great energy and very in tuned with African American Skin. He will hook you up! Highly recommend this artist. He also finished this tattoo in less than an hour 😱.....I went to several artist that quoted twice as much and said it would have taken several hours.

Lu did am amazing job fixing a bite mark tattoo i had gotten from another shop. She made it look real.

So far the best tattoo shop I’ve been at in years! Between the cleanliness to the hospitality this shop is amazing. He fixed my 4 year old tattoo which had a reaction to red ink and brought it back to life. Even did a beautiful wrap around the wrist tattoo of a prayer in a different language. Got a full chest piece as my first tattoo, Tom is truly an amazing artist he took the fuzzy concept I had for my idea and truly turned it into something custom and amazing. Finished the entire piece in about 2 hours way faster then I expected and the finished product completely blew me away. Super nice, super professional couldnt have asked for a better experience. Got home and showed my wife and she absolutely LOVES it. This will be the only place I go for all of my future tattoos. Cant leave a good enough review.

I had a great experience getting tattooed by Tom today. I initially contacted him on instagram. I sent him a description of what I wanted and some inspiration photos. He agreed to take on the job and the scheduling was quick and easy. The shop is clean and bright. Cheryl did matching tattoos for my friend and I that required a lot of focus and were fairly detailed for such small pieces. She did an AMAZING job, and was patient with us as we switched up the design a few times right before our session. She really cared about making sure they were exactly what we wanted, and Im so happy with the way they turned out. This was my first time being tatted in a very long time and was pretty nervous 😬 however, Tom was so welcoming and easy to talk to. Tom C gave me an amazing tattoo that was exactly what I wanted. Picture does not do it justice, absolutely amazing. I stopped in for an American Flag inspired tattoo and Blaze really did a fantastic job. I love what he came up with and it looks amazing! I couldnt recommend Studio 7 more. The atmosphere is friendly and easy going, I felt very comfortable there. My wife and I will be back, and so may my daughter!

I had the pleasure of getting my tattoo done by the owner, Tom. The laid back atmosphere definitely made me feel less anxious. The set up of the studio has a very cozy/comfortable feeling. Cheryl does incredible work! I had a tattoo on my arm worked on so many times by previous artists and I didn’t think it could be fixed because it was so messed up, but she covered it up and put a beautiful Phoenix on my arm and brought it back to life. Hands down the best artist I’ve been to! The detail in her work is incredible.

I moved to Baltimore recently and was finding it difficult to find an artist who fit the style I was looking for (without trying to rip me off), and Caylin came across my Instagram feed. I was very fortunate to be able to fill a cancellation for her, and the piece she did for me is truly such a beautiful piece of art that I really cannot say enough positive things about! My experience was wonderful from communication, professionalism, shop cleanliness, price point…everything was honestly wonderful. It’s been about two weeks since I had my piece done, and it’s all healed up and I’m still so thrilled and absolutely in love with my piece!

I was referred to Tom by a close friend and was not disappointed. I got married last Sunday and was looking to get matching wedding tattoo’s with my new husband and I tell you what,I showed Tom a Pinterest picture and he killed it! He wanted to make it better then what we provided him with so he free hand draw it and it exceeded what we could ever of thought we would get and the pricing was really great for the work we got. My boyfriend and I have both been getting tattooed by Tom for about 3 years now, and I won’t go to anyone else! He’s an amazing artist, I always get compliments on my tattoos. One of my favorite things about Tom is he doesn’t just take a picture that you show him and replicate it, he draws up his own using what you want but with his own twist! I searched for awhile and was very picky while choosing a tattoo artist. Tom blew my expectations out of the water. His experience truly shows while helping accomplish exactly what I wanted, and then some. He’s an awesome guy, very professional and very reasonable with pricing given the QUALITY of his work…because you truly get what you pay for. But all else aside, his work speaks for itself. Absolutely a hidden gem in Baltimore city. I can’t recommend him enough!

Took my girlfriend here to get a tattoo for her birthday and I got one at the same time. Tyler blew us away with the detail and his attention to our wants. He definitely had the ability to take a little artist liberty but he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy before you heard the first buzz of the needle! Joel hooked me up 2 weeks ago on Friday the 13th. It was my first tattoo in 10+ years. Everyone was nice. I enjoyed the environment. It was clean. They offered me water. I was in and out, for 2 relatively small tattoos, in about 15 - 20 minutes. I have absolutely no complaints. I recommended them to one of my coworkers and my spouse. I am healing up nicely. I would like to come back soon.

Just got home from getting two tattoos at Studio 7. I am so happy to have found them. New to the area and Ive been wanting another tattoo for my birthday last year. Since that didnt happen, I asked for two tattoos this year. I got one from Tyler and the other from Cailyn. Both are terrific!I would highly recommend them. Very little discomfort. Best tattoos Ive ever gotten and I had eight before I added these two.I will definitely be going back!

I got this realism tattoo of a leopard done by Caylin in December of 2020. From my understanding it was one of her first big realism tattoos and nonetheless it looks like it was done by an expert realism artist. I got there, everything was set up and clean, she was ready to dive right into the process and I think within 2 hours we were done! Absolutely would recommend studio 7 tattoo to anyone who wants a tattoo! I’m excited to come back here for more!

Such a great experience from start to finish. I randomly walked in on a Thursday afternoon and lucked out that Tom was available. He will make you feel welcome and break you out of your shell to relax. I had an idea combining a couple pics and he was quick to accommodate. Tom drew me up a beautiful sketch and nailed it first time! Once the work was started, I could not believe how fast and accurate he is with the needle, a true master of his craft. If you want a clean and comfortable environment to get some great work done with no bs attitude, Studio 7 is your place.

I’ve gotten around 9 tattoos by Caylin, and she has been great the entire time! She is always down for any idea and posts a lot of good flash sheet style tattoos. She’s done a few different styles for me, she has don’t a tattoo of my grandmothers handwriting, I have a few traditional style tattoos, a few funny flash style ones and a couple of birds and moths and such, she has never disappointed!I always recommend the shop to all of my friends and family as well as clients at my job anytime they compliment my tattoos. I can’t wait to get more from Caylin, and looking into the other artists in the shop as well!

I walked in for my half sleeve appointment was blown away everyone had mass on hand sanitizer is everywhere everything was pristinely clean they take their work extremely seriously. My appointment was for 3:30 we started exactly at 3:30 My tattoo was already drawn up it was put on me all changes were made that the tattoo artist Tom and also the owner and I agreed on. My tattoo is very detailed with a lot of lines work which I was nervous about but Tom and the other artist there made me feel so comfortable. Tom completely blew my mind with just the amazing outline of this tattoo and I cant wait to get back in for my second session to finish this up. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The work and the environment speak for itself. 5 stars all day

My daughter went to studio seven for a tattoo and it looks AMAZING so I went to get an addition to an existing tattoo. Caylin was my tattoo artist she is amazing!!!! I got there 1/2 hour early as I didn’t know how parking would be and she took me right away. Studio Seven is exceptionally clean and sanitary which when getting a tattoo is extremely important. I will be going back again to get more done as will my daughter. Caylin is the best she is very gentle and is concerned about how your feeling threw the process. I recommend Studio Seven highly.

I found this place via Google. I have been looking for an artist capable of doing a clean cover up for about three years. Not only did I find an artist who was confident in doing a cover-up, but he was also the first artist to truly listen to what I wanted and let me know I had plenty of options. I saw Tom, but I would trust any of the artists at this location, as they have all apprenticed under him. I absolutely will be going back for more (I already booked an appointment) and so will my husband.

The studio is clean and smells good. The artists are incredible. I told Caylin I wanted a pin up tattoo and she blew my mind with the amazing piece she did. Several of my friends have gone here and I’ll definitely be going again.

I’ve been to a few different kinds of tattoo shops, but I can honestly say that Studio 7 is one of the best that I’ve been too. Not only is it clean and tidy, but Tom, Caylin, and Tyler have made an awesome atmosphere to be in. The walls are covered in dope drawings made by the artists and you will always be greeted with a positive attitude. Both Caylin and Tyler have done pieces for me and I love them! They all have their own unique style and are willing to work with you on what you would like but also offer up their opinion if needed. If you’re looking for a 10/10 tattoo shop, Studio 7 is the spot!

My first time here was for their Friday the 13th flash tattoo sale. The wait was long but worth it! The guys had been there all day and likely didn’t take breaks and powered through but you could never tell. They were friendly, the shop was still sparkling clean even though they had been packed all day long. Great promo they did because I know myself and the two others I was with will definitely use them again in the future! Awesome job guys keep it up!

Oh my god! I had the best experience here! Caylin tattooed me and she is above and beyond in terms of artistry and cool human!! The shop was safe, clean, and comfortable. Great experience. I had Caylin do some work for me and she was great. She’s full time there as of this review and I highly recommend her. Everyone else who works there is very nice and they have a great shop atmosphere and location. All their equipment is new and clean, super comfortable, and you know you are getting a professional experience there. They are also young, talented, and relatively cheap which goes a long way. If you’re interested in going here, do it now while they are building, they won’t be cheap for long with service and production as good as they have there.

I found Caylin on Instagram initially and turns out I lived around the corner from the studio! Caylin’s done 4 of my most recent tattoos this year and I love how much I can trust her to understand the designs I’m going for in each one. She’s a gem to work with and her art is incredible. She’s able to do a wide variety of styles but her eye and commitment to the little details is where I think she’s the best. I can’t wait to continue working with her as I get more tattoos in the future.I also have to sing praises on the culture and climate of the studio as a whole. Often times it can feel intimidating to walk into a new studio (especially as a woman) but every single person there has been so kind and never once have I felt uncomfortable going here. I’ve recommended this place to several close friends and I extend that recommendation to everyone. 10/10 for the experience.

I went and saw Caylin back in November after following her on Instagram for a year. She’s currently working with me with completing my Harry Potter themed sleeve and she is absolutely AMAZING! Totally professional. Gives you really great reasonable prices, not like a lot of the artist I’ve met in VA. And don’t even get me started on her drawing skills! What really drew me into her was how she can make a tattoo realist but with this like feminine/cartoon like touch. I’ve given creative freedom to her for my pieces and she has made them even better than I had them imagined in my head. Ive been to Studio 7 twice now, Tom did a great job on an idea I had for my forearm, next was a cover-up on my back, Tom blew it out of the water! He was amazing!! You cant even tell there is an old tattoo under neath, it looks fabulous!!!

I’ve had a mutual friend on Facebook for a long time named Cheryl and since I’ve been interested in getting a serious piece of work done, I’ve kept checking her profile for new examples of her work…..she kills it every time…she took our conversations seriously and really took her time to create one badass tattoo for me…until the other day I thought she was solo, but she sent me the address and business name of studio 7 and I’m like dam ok I’m going to a legit shop…. Let me tell you, it was a legit shop, everyone in there likes to have fun and feel like your at home chillin with the fam, but these guys do work that’s outstanding, and they’re extremely professional with everything from their craft to their business. Tyler has tattooed me twice now & I love what he’s done. I highly recommend him or anyone else at Studio 7! He takes his time drawing, prepping, and sanitizing to make sure you get exactly what you want!

First of all this is the only second review ive written in my life.If this tattoo shop didn’t have five stars I probably wouldn’t even leave a review but i need everybody to know the work done on me was average and I should’ve waited for somebody better to be available.1) I got 222 behind my ear and the 2s aren’t even.. if i would’ve seen that I would’ve never came back2) For the second i have a feather on the back of my arm. I had to go back 3 times just for certain spots to look correct when healed.Moral of the story is I was impressed at first and excited for my last minute appointments at this 5 star tattoo shop but was extremely disappointed as the tattoos started to heal.Maybe not everybody is average but my guy (Tyler Bryan) .. i would not recommend

I absolutely love the bat tattoo I got from Caylin. She does beautiful work, super easy to work with, and was very understanding when I was running late. I cant wait for her books to open again so I can plan another tattoo with her!

Caylin and Studio 7 were awesome! I just got my first tattoo done there and wanted to make sure the design was exactly what I wanted. Caylin reworked the design multiple times and was extremely accommodating with the changes. This is the place you need to go for tattoos!! I went here off of a recommendation from a friend for my first tattoo and was not disappointed. I went to Caylin with a tattoo idea that meant a lot to me and she created the most beautiful, perfect design. Even better than what I could have imagined on my own.
