Sarina was super sweet and professional and took the time to position my piercing to make it look great on my face. Hands down one of the nicest peircers Ive ever had. She was also very knowledgeable, thorough and the place is super clean. Would definitely recommend her/ Ink&Needle!

My friend was visiting and she wanted a tattoo. After calling several tattoo places in Lansing I settled on Inc and Needle South since they had a tattoo artist available that had the same tattoo style my friend wanted.Hannah did an amazing job and was quick and light handed. With such a delicate tattoo, she did such a great job! And most importantly, my friend loves it.I ended up getting a Forward Helix Piercing by Holiday while I was there. He made me feel relaxed. The piercing was quick with hardly any pain. And it looks great!Highly recommend!

I would give lower if I could. I went in February 3rd and got my nipples pierced by Hollywood. Cool, great, seemed to be going good. The next month after that was hell. I would get out of work and get undressed and my bars would be pushed through my nipple. Like the ball from one side went back in me and tried to go out the other side. Almost every day. And then the infection bumps start coming in. These were not my first piercings so I knew how to take care of them and took even more precaution because of where the piercings were on my body. And they weren’t straight but that’s the least of my concerns. I went in and got the bars changed out because everyone I talked to said my bars were too short. The lady that changed them out measured them and said they were way too short.. apparently he was supposed to measure them to determine the length of the bar, which he never did. So she dealt with that problem. Which I thought would help stop the infection, it did not. The day I got my bars changed to longer ones someone I was with got theirs pierced. Theirs are already healed. And here I am, 6 months later, I’m still having a new infection bump come up every couple weeks. Once one goes down a new one pops up. Today, I took out the piercings. It has been 6months of dealing with the on and off infections and constant pain. I hoped it would get better but it hasn’t. When these holes heal up I will be going somewhere else to get them redone properly. I’m out almost $100 that I will never see again and I’m dealing with the constant pain from it. I do not recommend this place, I do not recommend getting pierced by Hollywood.

I’ve been here for all three of my tattoos and I literally have no complaints. Sierra is so cool and nice and I felt super comfortable the whole time. Plus she is so creative I love her work!!

Hollywood is a great piercer. Ive had him redo others work so it looks better on my body. Ive gotten ear piercings, dermals, and my belly button pierced by him.

I lost the ball on one of my nipple piercings I had done at the east location a few months back (another amazing experience). I came in this evening to get the ball replaced & was taken care of quickly & given backup jewelry & balls without charge. Just another reason why I love the Ink & Needles! Thanks guys ☺️

Hollywood was great piercer. Hes very friendly and knowable. I got my dilath pierced. Had a migraine for four days as soon as he pierced it my migraine went away.

The piercing artists here are good,I got my ears pierced here and so did my friend she was a bit woosy so they took extra care of her until she was feeling up to moving around again. They helped me find a replacement for my nose ring they were very knowledgeable about the options available for me. I definitely recommend them. They are always busy but still made time for me

The receptionist was rude and makes you feel very unwelcome, but piercer Sarina was exceptional. She made me feel comfortable and was very thorough talking me through the whole thing. Would recommend to my friends but give a warning regarding the receptionist.

My daughter wanted her eyebrow pierced and they did a professional job and she claimed it was pain free and we would recommend the place and will return for future work.

Got my nose pierced by HOLLYWOOD and he was such an amazing guy. He did my brothers girlfriends the day before I did and it was quick! The next day when I went he got the job done and of course the adrenaline kicked in of me being excited and when that happened I almost fainted so he let me lay down & he gave me something to help since I was pale as a ghost. He brought in a fan for me to cool off and gave me water. By far my favorite person there, the other staff were really nice too and love the lady that got us in:)

My previous review of this location was originally negative, not because of any of the artist but of one of the desk people,, overall my wife and I felt like the desk person was rude and didnt help or seem to listen when we were looking to get something done, my opinion and the response from this business was remedied by the owner who reached out and relieved the situation. Knowing that this company cares about its customers honestly gave me such reassurance about going to any of these locations. I will definitely be a repeating customer in the future

The shop was able to get me an appointment at the last minute with Marissa, she was amazing! Very clean practices and the detail/line work she does is great. Will be coming back again :)

My girlfriend and I stopped in so she could get her nose pierced. I cannot remember the gentlemans name that did the piercing but he was extremely knowledgeable and professional. If youre in the Lansing area and need a piercing, I would suggest stopping here. He was also very informative about the aftercare of the piercing.

Love my experiences here! Hollywood does my piercings and he always does a great job and gives a thorough explanation for aftercare. Hes easy to talk to and always stands by his work. I had a dermal come out a month after getting it done and didnt worry about it. Went in a year later for a different piercing and when I told him it had come out he redid it at no cost! I will always go back to him for any future piercings! 😁

Hannah is AMAZING. Got a tattoo for the first time and she was immensely patient and made all the adjustments I asked for—she didn’t put it on a stencil until she was certain it was exactly what I wanted, which was like a twenty minute process, and she was so patient the whole time! Also, her line work is gorgeous—she was able to keep everything nice and thin, which was exactly what I wanted. And her back room was filled with plants and had a wonderful, lovely vibe. Can’t recommend her enough.

Need to get back in to see Mike and get more ink! Only person I recommend to anyone who asks about tattoos

I went in to get my nose double pierced on the same nostril as my already current piercing. I’ve had it done before elsewhere but the piercing was done sideways and I had to take it out, so I was really nervous about trying it again. I addressed my concerns with Hollywood the piercer and he spent 10 minutes with me placing the jewelry in different spots to see which I liked better and helped me make the best decision based off his history and what I wanted. It was a Saturday night so of course they were busy but I cannot express how relaxing and comfortable I was choosing my nose piercing and the level of patience Hollywood had with me made me. I’m very thankful he took the time to help me and answer all of my questions. I guess what I am trying to say is I’ve never felt more comfortable with any other piercer and I from now on will only go to him because I know it will be professional and I 100% trust him. He is amazing and the whole world needs to know.

Got my nose pierced here. Great job and great service. My nose stud came out and he put it back in after he reopened the piercing. Didnt charge me a penny. Cant beat good customer service. So happy I went here.

Had second 8 hour session today. Mike B did both. Hes extremely talented. Cant say how grateful I am for the tattoos he did for me...and grateful for Ink and Needle South and the staff. Everyone I met both times were all very inviting and just good people. Definitely recommend

Three of us came in last minute for a simple tattoo in celebration of our friend. Seemed accommodating as we called before we showed up. Front desk women was amazing. Super friendly. Our tattoo artist, Chelsea seemed annoyed, wasn’t talkative and was uninterested in anything we had to say. We still tipped well. I know it was late but I feel since we lived close and she made some last minute money she would have seemed a little more interested. Won’t come back. Was fine for what we wanted.

Had my first cartilage piercing done by them with a walk-in at 10PM on a Tuesday. The atmosphere was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a piercing. Really satisfied with the artist work!

Hollywood is the truth!! Needed a daith for migraines. He completely reassured me that the pain of the piercings is so worth getting rid of the migraines. And he was right! The shop is clean, staff was friendly and informative to everyone! Awesome place! Definitely going back!!

Stopped in today to get some work done and they exceeded my expectations by far. Cadz is a great artist and an overall amazing person to work with. As for the rest of the staff they are super laid back and friendly, I felt like I was surrounded by family the whole time. Overall an amazing experience and I will definitely go back. I have 3 tattoos, 2 of them I have had done by Kaylynn, I am more than happy with both pieces. I walked in on a Sunday and she was busy working on someone elses tattoo but she was able to squeeze me in a couple hours later. Lady at the desk was super sweet. My piercer Hollywood was great. Very nice and took his time to make sure my ears were perfectly symmetrical. He actually used a micrometer. Great price too 40 for both lobes including jewelry.

Very friendly staff. Pretty busy but kept the line moving. Accommodated us any way they could while maintaining safety measures for covid. They said Hollywood was the best and we agree!!! Will definitely be returning for piercings.

Back home visiting from TX and decided to get my nose pierced. This was a 1st for me anywhere on my face. So I looked at Google Reviews for this establishment and repeatedly saw the name HOLLYWOOD as the best. Well, he was! Very professional, patient, gentle & kind. As well as extremely thorough in explaining the after care. He even sized everything up for me if later on I decided to switch from a stud to a hoop, and gave me the proper measurements for both. I highly recommend him for your piercings. Also, Lindsay at the front counter was such a sweetheart & very kind. Thnx very much!

I got my septum done here, and it went great! Serina did an amazing job, it went super smooth and everything seemed very clean. It seemed just a tad unorganized at times, but overall a great experience

Hollywood did a fantastic job with my 6 year old daughters lobes and 17 year old daughters nostril. I was super impressed with the amount of time he took with them and made sure they were prepared and understood there was going to be pain. His patience and perfection was on point (pun intended).

Most of the time I’ve gone there, they’ve done a fantastic job on both my piercings & my tats. HOWEVER, the last time, a female did my angel bites & placed one higher than the other - her original markings were correct, but she let the jewelry fall out before she secured it & had to repierce that side before I left.Major owie & now I have to get that side redone AGAIN.4/5 because one bad experience doesn’t make them any less reputable to me.

Made an appointment with Hollywood for my eldest daughters 16th birthday. She got her ear lobes done and I got a daith. Every one in the shop was friendly. Hollywood knows his stuff and was very clear in explaining the process to my daughter. He was also very knowledgeable about daith piercings and their effects on migraines. I was so happy to hear this as I am a chronic sufferer of frequent migraines and have been looking for relief. I sure got it. My daughter was more than thrilled with her first piercing. Extremely impressed with the professionalism and care. Thanks Hollywood!

Went in for simple tattoo couple tattoo and if they advice against them doesn’t matter I want what I’m paying for. And if they want there personal feelings to affect there business they shouldn’t be open. Or should have it listed somewhere they won’t do them before wasting time. Never in my life had a artist try to control what a person wants . Thanks for losing business .

First off, I want to say that the piercers are amazing! Hollywood did my nose and nipples, and I just had my industrial done by the lady (regrets for not catching her name). They are very friendly, knowledgeable, and gentle. Plan on getting all my piercings with them.As for the tattoo experiences....Ive had 3 tattoos done by them. The first one turned out really well and I loved the design he drew up. But I waited for hours, didnt leave the shop until after 2 am. I understood since I was a walk in and came in around 8 PM. The second one was great experience, very fun tattoo artist.My most recent tattoo, not such a great experience. Waited 5 hours for him to start on it, even though they knew I was coming in. What I got wasnt exactly what I wanted but it looks good so cant complain. Then when I went back for a touch up and adding final details on it, I was informed when I got there that he was MIA. no call from the shop before I made the trek. So I reschedule and have another artist do the touch up. He added more, but didnt do the touch up and I still had to wait 2 hours, even with an appointment. I asked him to put a few more details on it, that I wanted in the first place, but he kicked me out early because he had an appointment about an hour from then. Tattoo still isnt finished, or touched up, but Im going to a different shop to finish it. The artists always look either rushed or uninterested, and I swear half of them are high every time.The work they do looks good, but its unacceptable to have to wait for hours and then still not get what you wanted.

Hanna does an awesome job, definitely my favorite. She is very patient, and her lines are remarkable. I cant wait to get more work done by her.

Girlfriend got a Daith piercing, very clean, Hollywood was very knowledgeable and made her feel very calm. The place was very welcoming. Shes going back tomorrow for a tattoo.

Update 4/17/19 a little over a week after getting our tattoos done were noticing issues. The color is inconsistent on our tattoos. It wasnt done right at all. Its faded in places for no reason. You really do get what you pay for. Stay away. Fwiw, the artist we used was Cadz.We love what we got done, but the artist wasnt prepared for our appointment at all. They werent busy, but it took 30-40 min after our appointment time to even get us in the room. They also charge 3.75% fee for using debit and credit cards that we werent informed of. There was no mention of it when the deposit was paid with a card. I would go back because the artwork is great, but these other things are why I gave 4 stars.

I got a pentagram, with a corona tattoo, just like from Supernatural, done by Sierra at the Southside location, and I am absolutely thrilled with turn out, great lines, and curves, identical to the original, I couldnt be happier

I had waited some time to get some more tattooing done, could not decide how I wanted some symbols laid out , when I walked in to Ink&Needle south I was greeted by a kind person and was handed a portfolio by Mike B, I was very surprised at what I was looking at, how he draws faces is exactly the way I would want One done, I was very happy how he laid out the symbols and the quality of his craftsmanship, this kind of information is bad for me because he and the others he works with will get so dam busy I wont be able to get back in

The more I look at my tattoo the more I am unsatisfied with it. Like yeah the idea is crass, but the whole experience yesterday wasnt good. Me and a friend went and I felt like they were rushed. I called ahead of time but they had a late slot open. As I was waiting for my artist to be ready a girl who just had work done was judging me and making me feel crappy about my other tattoos. After that the artist seemed frustrated in a rush. I felt like an inconvenience the entire time. Looking at the tattoo now. It isnt at all what I wanted. I didnt even pick the colors. Not a big deal, but I feel like for how simple what I asked for was and how I left dissapointed I should not have paid 100 for this. I dont think I ever want to come back here either.

JAMES IS THEE TAT MAN! He will put a personal, creative touch to your tattoo- a definite plus is his friendly, positive energy. Recommend! Additionally, all the staff members were kind and the front gave great customer service.

Terrible business. Go anywhere but here. My GF and I waited there for hours after our scheduled appointment time, and the whole time the employees were talking to each other and seemed eager to get the tattoos over with. When we went back for a touch up at a later date, the artist (who is the large man with a backwards hat in a previous review below) was high and tweaked out and also ruined the tattoo instead of fixing it, and then had the audacity to charge us full price of what the tattoo cost in the first place. Plus a trainee there advertised needing help (practice piercings) and when my GF accepted, she kept putting the date off until she just flat out said she wouldnt do it anymore and then told her to go somewhere else. Were so done with this place, never going back.

I bring my daughter here, she has had many piercings done here and we are always satisfied with the friendly service and results.

Got my tattoo done by Brittany. I was having some nerves, and she was super kind and helpful. Talked with me until my anxiety had calmed down and continued to make sure I was okay throughout the tattoo

I got my vertical labret and medusa piercing done here by hollywood after having a problem with the first piercing i got because it wasnt compatible with my body he was very nice and understanding and did a beautiful job on the piercing I got in place of the one that didnt work out. Hollywood also very willingly made himself available during my healing time to answer any questions I had about my piercing.

Ink and needle south is the best place to go for tats & piercings.. I’d never go any place else! Mike B rocks for tats & Hollywood for piercings 👏🏼😌

Good place, but yet too small and they dont give you piercing cleaner unless you buy it. My piercing got infected even though I followed the instructions, he to get it removed and now I have a scar.

Was on hold for almost 15 minutes listening to their conversation on the other end. No one ever came to the phone. Ended up hanging up. Wont get my business if you cant even have good customer service over the phone.

Ken BoSlice Abbott is the by best tattoo artist there! he is amazingly talented. We would never go anywhere else! The shop is clean, best ink, best customer service all-around. I have had tattoos at American Graffiti in Brighton and by Stelios in Howell, and they were good too, but Id travel an hour any day to see Ken! Way to go guys, keep it up!

Was not impressed when I was called the night before my appointment and told the artist I had booked with had not been showing up and the appointment was canceled. No other artist could look at the picture of what I wanted done that I sent them a week in advance, and no one had openings to get me in. I made my appointment ahead of time and made a special request for that to be my one day off a week that I get. Likely not to return. No mention of refunding my deposit when the appointment was canceled.

The piercing lady was really rude towards me asking a question about the size of the jewelry for the nose as I have a 16 gauge in my nose and I just wanted to know the size of it was going to be the same or not

I went here to get a tattoo fixed and the guy who did it pushed way too far into my skin and the entire touch up was extremely painful, and I had to give a 40 dollar tip to them for it when the touch up was free and I wouldnt mind it if my tattoo was actually fixed but it looked worse then when I came in. Also a new piercing artist said they would do an eyebrow piercing for me for free for the experience, I was givin the run around. Ive been waiting for a long time for her to do it for me. She even had the audacity to tell me to just go get it done somewhere else, when I was trying to help her out.

Got my touch up did tonight on butterflies🦋🦋 with Hannah shes awesome and does an amazing job.Also real laid back.Definitely gonna go back for a future tattoo.💜💜

The lady at the front was very kind to me over the phone and in person! I need some solution for my babies ears because the one I did have was not working for her. She was the only person to tell me to use this stuff because everyone else was telling me wrong information at different places. I purchased some H2Ocean and it helped her ears tremendously! If youre in need of a tattoo southside is the place to do it. I have had two tattoos and a peircing done by them. The owner is awesome and wants nothing more than his customers to be happy, he has helped me get in right away with the artist of my choice and makes sure that the quality of the tattoo is what you were hoping for.I just stopped in there last night to make a appointment and was missing the ball on my pericing and the guy that originally periced it took it upon himself to give me one free of charge and put it on for me.If youre looking to over pay and get a shitty tattoo in an akward environment this i not the place to go. you guys rule!!!!

My daughter got her belly button pierced by Hollywood and he was awesome!! She didnt flinch or anything.

For those of you who say its clean, never been to Splash of color. The place was dirty, the tattooist seemed high and the piercer was sleeping on the table. My tattoo already looks old after 3 weeks. Went to Splash to make it right.

Somebody messed up at scheduling and somehow my name was deleted and her friends was added instead of helping somebody with a PTDS she decided to help her friend . Still they don’t care about people with mental illnesses at ink and needle

I was mad at this place....I went to ink and needle West after calling them about my idea for a tattoo and they said they could do it...when I showed up the artist said he was uncomfortable with doing it....so they referred me to south ink and needle...I called and made a appointment with a credit card deposit for a specific time....when we drove all the way out there they said it would be 2 hours wait!!...I got a refund on my payment....but it was a waste of time and gas...and never got my tattoo!

They switched out my septum jewelry for cheap and gave me a lot more information than the original place I had it pierced at.
