Every piece on me has been done by Jessica(Aka Gutterteeth) at Golden Hammer. She has fixed tattoos for me and even threw her own awesome creative spin in my work (which I’ve asked for). Pricing is really good and the tattoos themselves are epic, from all artists, which I plan on getting work done by others there. They make you feel comfortable and give you aftercare products like second skin. I’m very picky on who I let work on me, as I’ve had bad work, and I can say this is the best shop around

Golden Hammer tattoo studios exceeded all our expectations and left my fiancee and I absolutely thrilled with the incredible artwork they created for us From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and professional, and Shauns expertise and creativity shone through in every detail of the design. The cleanliness and attention to detail in the shop were top-notch, and Shauns friendly demeanor and willingness to collaborate on the perfect design made the whole experience truly exceptional. I had THE BEST experience at Golden hammer. I reached out to Shaun about an idea I had to replicate some of my late fathers tattoos. Shaun went ABOVE AND BEYOND, working off old gritty photos to get the tattoos exactly as I wanted them, and he was super mindful of my comfort during the whole session. The amount of care and talent that went into the whole process was honestly amazing. I HIGHLY recommend this shop! Probably the best experience Ive ever had getting tattoos. DONT HESITATE MAKE THAT APPOINTMENT!!! You wont be disappointed!!!!

I absolutely love getting my work done here. The people are wonderful, especially my tattoo artist Shaun. I got a tattoo with so much meaning to me by Jessica! It was only my second tattoo (first one actually from this same shop 4 years ago by Jen!) and had wanted a simple line tattoo that I drew up-which she cleaned up and adjusted it for sizing. She is very understanding and professional, which definitely relaxed me when getting it done! Definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to get their first tattoos! I love it!!💐

Ive had 4 different tattoos done by Jess and they are everything I asked for. She listens to what you want and works out a design that she executes perfectly. The colors are vibrant and the lines are clean.

Every time I come here, Jenn tattoos me and she is wonderful. She’s always very chill, has a gentle hand, engages with me, and has very interesting things to say. Her work is always amazing and she never fails to do her job. She’s very down to earth and the sweetest, chillest person I’ve ever met. She can engage in conversation while talking to you, and always does a wonderful job. I highly recommend this place.

My girlfriend went here to get a tattoo by jen for her 18th birthday. she scheduled an appointment several weeks in advanced and when we showed up the artist was nowhere to be found. we waited almost an hour for her to show up and when she did she didn’t even have a stencil ready. We waited another hour for her to draw up a stencil and by the time we finally got to the tattoo we had been waiting almost 2 hours. The tattoo itself took less than an hour however the artist took smoke breaks every 15 minutes. Her tattoo was the tree of life and towards the end of the tattoo she realized the artist decided to simplify the roots of the tree, making the bottom half of the tattoo look nothing like what she had asked for. After the healing process finished the whole tattoo is one big blowout and scarred all over. Extremely disappointed especially as this was not only her first tattoo but a very meaningful one to her and half the tattoo it does not look like what she had asked for.

My partner & I came here today for matching tattoos and went in knowing we wanted more than what we came for. We ended up both getting pretty decent sized pieces from Jess and Shaun (as well as our original tattoos). We cannot say enough nice things and have not been able to stop talking about our tattoos. Jess and Shaun were amazing to work with, made us feel so comfortable and matched our energy significantly. The experience (besides the pain) was a 10/10, and honestly the pain was worth it 10x over. We are from Maine and would make the 5.5 hr trip back just for tattoos. Thank you Jess and Shaun! You guys f’n ROCK!

Jesss work is beautiful. I wanted a silly little piece that really only meant something to me and she turned it into my favorite piece. She has a deep understanding of the use of color and lighting. I have had an idea for a piece for over 20 years, but hadnt found the right artist for it until I met Jess. I trust her eye for design and composition and I cannot wait to see her take on my thoughts! Heres my silly/now favorite piece for now and I will update with images of what she comes up with for my future piece.

Although the process was very painful to me, I had a great experience otherwise. Jen was very understanding and reassuring. She wanted to make sure that her work was done right and that I wouldnt regret getting the tattoo done. She was very patient with me as I groaned. 😂

Jen was awesome. only second tattoo and she made the experience great. made sure i was comfortable all through!! going back again for another one.

Update: I am sorry for doing this but I had to change my review. I had an appointment 2 months out with an artist. Unfortunately she did not communicate with me as expected. I attempted numerous times to reach her and was told that she would reach out before the appointment. I never heard anything from anybody particularly on the day of the appointment! I simply gave up. I could not have someone with that type of responsibility or lack thereof working on my body. They get two stars because the gentleman that owns the business is fantastic.Update 2 you would think a business would look for an opportunity to redeem their reputation. However this is not the case at your establishment. Poorly describing your consulting and reservation process while simultaneously telling the customer they are wrong is insanity.

Places was amazing people were super friendly felt very welcomed there my piercer was Jess she was amazing and definitely made me feel comfortable and also my boyfriend got his septum done and she made him very comfortable for his first time getting a piercing . And the owner was amazing very friendly and they just knew what they were doing I would definitely go back there for sure .

Absolutely LOVE Pia. She did a few cover ups on me as well as new pieces and I wouldn’t go anywhere else again. The other artists there are also amazing, I have met them all and seen all of their work and I send everyone I know to that shop. I’ve also had a few piercings done there as well as my daughter and all healed amazing. 5 stars for sure if not more

This has been my fave place to go and have gotten my last four tattoos here. I always hype up Golden hammers artists and service so my friend and I got impromptu matching tattoos recently. The people are friendly and will do their best to work with you, we were not disappointed. :)

I absolutely love this place! I drove 2 hours to get a tattoo, it’s has a nice cozy house vibe but also a badass tattoo shop at the same time. I got a tattoo from Jess Aka Gutterteeth and I couldn’t be happier. Even with the pandemic going on they made me feel welcome and it was definitely worth the trip.
