Blue Horseshoe Tattoo & Piercing

Brandi did an amazing job with piercing my septum.This was my first time getting a piercing on my nose and the overall experience was a 10/10; it was very quick. She gave me helpful advice on how to take care of the piercing during the healing process. She also told me to come back after 2 months to change to smaller jewelry and I will do just that. Thank you Brandi! Oh…. And the shop itself was very beautiful inside. :)

Mills was absolutely incredible to work with. I had an old cross that had lost its significance, and I wanted to add some geometric designs to incorporate the cross to not make it the main focal point. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the final outcome. Her vision and work speaks for itself and I would recommend her to anyone. Go check this girl out!! First picture shows the cross that I had gotten in 2005. She brought it back to life and crushed the mandala and dot work.

I stopped by for a walk-in tattoo. I was greeted & helped immediately, and was able to see a tattoo artist very quickly. Buffy was amazing, laid back, and completely matched my vibe. The place looks great, is clean, and the staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. Will definitely be going back! Thank you guys!!

Mills created a wonderful Mandala concept for my calves. Her work is clean and she is very professional. I love that she tries her best to get placement and details near perfect since it’ll be permanently on your body. She is very friendly and extremely down to earth and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a creative piece on their bodies.

Cris was AMAZING. I got my first tattoo done here and she was so great. We were a walk in and she managed to squeeze us in between her appointments. Very very quick and easy. Also great conversation maker. Loved getting to know her. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Had an amazing experience with Biffy at the Oceana location. Great conversation, and a quick, detailed tattoo. I originally thought it was going to take 2x as long as it did. I’m hoping she’s able to rework a piece I got years ago. Love my new piece and looking forward to seeing it healed. It’s cash only, but there is an ATM on site.

Went there for the first time yesterday (Fri the 13th) and despite them being extremely busy, they were composed and professional. From the outside, you wouldnt guess the shop is very spacious and upon entering I noticed the cleanliness of the space which was very encouraging. My artist was Vinny who was very sweet and did an extraordinary job despite it being a simple flash piece of the day; I appreciate the extra flare they did for me. Will definitely be returning for future work! PS, their piercers (mine was Brandi) are awesome well considering I also walked out after getting an unplanned septum piercing.

This was our 5th tattoo with Aaron. The guys work is beyond explanation. Awesome to say the least.

Blue Horseshoe is an amazing place with amazing staff customer service even the owners. I had an issue with one of their shops one of their artists set up an appointment but the artist got let go artist didn’t let me know what was going on put $100 deposit down for my son and my wife so I called up there the day before and the owner got back to me Duff and took care of everything sent my wife and my son up with new appointments With two other artist, one was Pedro, which is an amazing artist. Great job on my son’s tattoo and my wife will be his wife Duff‘s wife. ChessaI would recommend Blue Horseshoe to anybody that’s ready to get tattooed….

After a bad experience at another tattoo shop, we found this gem! The employees were so wonderful and patient. Tattoos are forever and the experience while getting one is part of the experience. Nichole is such a wonderful artist! Clean work! Vinny had great attitude and was super informational. Jenelle was helpful and had such a pleasant attitude.

I saw Vinny on instagram and drove past three other Blue Horsehoes just to get my first tattoo from them. he answered all of my questions even the ones that I thought were silly. He was completely judgement free about my needle phobia and made the process as comfortable as possible and even let two of my friends stick with me for support. Genuinely a wonderful place and the rest of the artists there were all kind, funny, and wonderful.

I got a tattoo done today once again by Mills which i’m so happy with! she did a fantastic job! just the work she does and effort she puts in makes it all so worth it!

My friend got a mediocre tattoo in Florida, We needed someone here in Virginia Beach to fix it. The artist named Mills worked with her on ideas on how to fix the tattoo while she was still out of state. My friend met with her a month ago, and we went in today to put the final touches on her reworked tattoo. Today was my first time in this shop, I was amazed at the artistry and creativity of the talent in this studio. I have a lot of tattoos and am super picky about what constitutes as art. Let me say that the whole vibe of this place exudes professionalism, cleanliness, and modernized artisrty. This is not your granddaddys hole in the wall. This is a vibrant, collaberation of wall to wall talent that is unmatched in the Hampton Roads area. The artist Mills did such a phenomenal job repairing my friends tattoo that we are 100% going back to her for some flash tats and even a custom design. 10/10 I recommend this place and Mills but remember...1. Take your time picking your artist. They are all very talented each with their own specialty.2. Check out their previous work online and at the shop3. Make an appointment4. I needed a certain piercing done right away and only wanted noel, so I drove from Norfolk to see her at this location and she fit me in. yes, she is that good. seriously, find her and let her poke holes in you.

Cannot recommend BHS VABeach enough, Vinny did a STELLAR cover up on me, on a pretty difficult piece I needed covered. The artwork is amazing, Vinny is an incredible artist and great conversation. I gave him a rough idea of what I wanted and he ran with it, and I absolutely love it.The atmosphere is fantastic, clean, great music.One thing I love about the BHS locations is how the artists are always talking, encouraging, and giving tips to one another. They’re always curious about each others work, and seem genuinely invested and passionate in the work they do. The front desk staff is also always friendly and welcoming.BHS sets a very high bar for how a tattoo and piercing studio should run. (The pic I’m posting is the VERY fresh tattoo)

I worked with Mills this past Friday on a piece I have been urging to finish for a while. During the consult she made me feel very confident in how she was going to continue this piece, and her delivery matched her words. Her work and detail is phenomenal, would highly recommend to anyone. Also the studio is gorgeous and everyone in there is so laid back and genuine making it a great atmosphere. All around an amazing experience. Finally found my artist for all future work.

I had my first tattoo done by Mills, and it was an amazing experience! The shop is beautifully decorated and very clean, and the customer service at the front desk was phenomenal. I was comfortable and enjoyed the nice conversation. Mills was patient and kind and super fun to talk to! She even left a bee sticker in the bag with my aftercare because I got a bee tattooed! She was very understanding and patient with my nervousness and started slow so I could get a feel of the pain level. I am extremely happy and satisfied with my tattoo, it looks amazing! I will definitely be back in the future!

I got a tattoo on Friday from Vinny and I loved it so much I had to come back today(10/24/23) to get a quick tattoo before my concert on Saturday! It looks amazing!!

My piercer was so friendly and calming. She walked me through every step and was very grateful to have me as a client. If I lived here I would be a regular. Mills is absolutely amazing and i’ve received a cover up and a touch up and i couldn’t be so much more happy with it! i had a bad tattoo and she fixed it for me and took her own amazing creative idea and made it so much better than i even imagined and i appreciate her so much! and even did an amazing job when we had did a touch up on some areas that healed differently and looks amazing! i recommend her so much and will definitely be going back for all of my tattoos in the near future! she’s very open to ideas and very creative and will make your tattoo look amazing! 10+ stars!

I got tatted by Vinny, really dope dude! Cracked jokes with me and made sure I was good through the session. Also was able to squeeze me in last minute and did a killer job

I’m a cool mom … when my kids turn 18 each one has gotten their first tattoo with me, matching ones of a symbol that means something special to both of us. Today my youngest and I got our traditional bday tattoo with Vinny at the newest location on Oceana Blvd. the shop is so visually interesting, clean, spacious and cool with friendly folks at the counter, patient and talented artists (thanks for today Vinny!!), a convenient ATM and after care products that smell incredible (beeswax, coconut and lavender?! 💜) Great experience.

Got my arm tattoo done by mills. It was my first and most beautiful tattoos I’ve ever gotten. The line work was so clean and she was very comfortable to be around. But after I got another tattoo from another guy working at blue horse shoe because she was completely booked she never texted me again. I dm’d her multiple times and I was left on read every time. Even when my dad wanted to get a tattoo done by her because her work was excellent she wouldn’t respond to him either and kept leaving him on read as well. I’m not sure if there was ever something I did but it seemed unprofessional and unfortunate because I would’ve gotten a lot more done by her since I believe she was one of the best there.
