This place is amazing!!! I’ve gotten my ears revamped multiple times over the years at this place and I keep coming back. They have such a vast and beautiful jewelry collection. Not only do they have amazing jewelry their staff is awesome ! Everyone is so excited and validating for you but also for eachother. Hands down the best and my favorite tattoo/ piercing bar !!! 100% recommend

Despite being a walk-in and having an hour wait. The experience was not bad at all! For having 5 piercings and this being my first professionally done one, this was a great experience! I almost passed out (my own anxiety lol) and they were extremely quick to help me out! Got me water and crystal sat with me until I was feeling better! These ladies are freaking awesome!!! 100% recommend this place and I will definitely be back!!!

Stacey pierced my 8yo’s ears and she’s freaking fantastic!!! I would never go anywhere else. Makes me want some piercings! She’s patient and empowering and truly has a passion for what she does.

Great experience! Walked in while in town on vacation; Kali was welcoming and friendly, which was totally disarming for me (for my socially anxious friends, I know y’all get how important that is). Noah did my tattoo (script+a little finger touch up); he listened, welcomed feedback, and was just generally very chill to be around. I literally didn’t even realize he finished my tattoo! Excellent pricing, atmosphere, people, art, etc. We’ll be back!

UPDATE: 1 year later I came back for a tattoo. The staff are still as friendly and kind as ever. Noah did my tattoo and it went incredibly smoothly. A lot of care was put into explaining the healing process and keeping thing clean and sanitary. I can now confidently say that I would recommend WR for any piercing or tattooing needs!First of all...this place has the NICEST staff ever. They were all so fun to joke around and chit chat with. The rooms amd instruments are all cleaned thoroughly. They patiently explained things, and walked over jewlery options, colors, and placement with my friend and I. Oli did my piercing and it was the quickest, most pain free piercing Ive ever had (after years of bad piercers). 10 out of 10 recommend. I have never felt more comfortable in a place before.

I got my first tattoo today!!! The artwork is something that my youngest drew when they were in high school and has been one of my favorite drawings that they have done.After talking to my wife for a while about getting a tattoo, I finally got off my duff and made an appointment.So, first things first; The staff at Whiskey River Tattoo are amazing!!! They patiently listened to me explain what I wanted, where the drawing came from, and that this was my first tattoo. Lastly, but, also super cool, I asked for Vex @vex_ink89 to be the one to do the work.Why Vex? Well, she came highly recommended by my wife and our two children, as she had done at least one tattoo for all three of them and I was the only one in our family that she hadn’t inked.The session with Vex was awesome and she is a wonderful person. My youngest was there for the initial setup process and approved all of the colors, which I thought was awesome considering they were the original artist.Once Vex got to work, I easily overcame my concerns about how painful it might be and only felt mild discomfort when she hit some more sensitive areas (closer to me armpit juncture). It wasn’t nearly as painful as I thought it could have been. She helped choose a great first location that maximized the space for the art and worked hard to ensure the original work was faithfully represented on the new canvas.It was an incredible experience and if you are looking for your first, second, third, or twentieth tattoo, I highly recommend , or any other artist at Whiskey River Tattoo.

We had an incredible experience getting our daughter’s ears pierced at Whiskey River Tattoo and piercing. I had previously gone in to inquire what we would need to get the piercing done and the staff was very friendly and informative. On the day of, the staff went above and beyond to make our daughter and ourselves comfortable throughout the entire process. The staff are wonderful, knowledgeable and truly care about the people that come into the shop.

I absolutely love Stacey! If you want a phenomenal piercing she is the one and only one to see! She is so knowledgeable about piercings and the right jewelry to use and placement. She takes her time in analyzing the correct placement for your piercings. She never disappoints and always surprises me with cool unique jewelry you can’t find anywhere else. Love her!

I got pierced by Oli last night, and what an incredible experience. I did not at all ever feel uncomfortable and actually she offered a couple of times that if I wasnt sure or comfortable there was no harm in backing out, while also being the most awesome person to hype me up to do it once I was sure. Aftercare was thoroughly explained and gone over I felt so comfortable even walking out the door knowing the best way to care for my new piercings. The whole shop was so clean and everyone I interacted with was super nice. The selection and quality of jewelry is amazing, and from start to finish and everywhere in between every single thing was explained to me and never once did I feel rushed out the door. I will NEVER get a piercing anywhere else.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We took my 10 yr old daughter there to get her ears pierced and they were INCREDIBLE! Stacey and Oli were so patient and friendly. They made my daughter feel safe and went over absolutely everything step by step. They explained the aftercare thoroughly and the actual piercing was quick and easy. I cannot say enough about this place, thank you for making this moment so special and memorable!

I’ve gotten a tattoo here by Dan, he was very kinda and understanding and i love my tattoo so much, The shop is always clean and calming and everyone there is so nice. I also got a piercing done by Oli, super awesome to work with and the piercings are beautiful. The atmosphere the staff here provides is very welcoming which in my opinion is very important for a piercing/tattoo shop. I literally will never go anywhere else lol.

From start to finish, Stacy was amazing! She made my 6 year old feel safe, heard, and in charge of what was happening to her body. Every part of the process was explained and they even had two piercers in there so they could do both ears at the same time. Every person with which we interacted was so sweet and made my daughter and I feel like she was in good hands. Thanks Stacy, Crystal, and awesome lady at front desk whose name I didn’t catch…y’all were all terrific!

What an amazing experience today! We joined our friends to see Stacey to get my daughter’s 2nd piercing done. We did have to wait 2 hours, but she was so great. Her personality is as big as her smile and she treated us all like we were best friends. The girls were a bit nervous, but Stacey and Oli came in and saved the day with piercing both ears at once. I am planning on a couple pairs of earrings and another possible piercing myself. I will most definitely recommend her to everyone I know, and will never visit another spot. Everyone was AWESOME!

I had an appointment with Dre to get a tattoo behind my ear and it turned out perfect! He was professional and made me feel very comfortable the entire time! I will definitely be scheduling more tattoos with him in the future! As I was waiting for Dre to set up, I talked with Stacey and Kasey (not sure how to spell it) about getting all new piercings in my ears. They both helped me decide what would look best and where each would go! Once we picked out a piece of jewelry for each piercing, Stacey worked her magic to perfect both ears and I am OBSESSED! She was so sweet the entire time. It was clear that she has a passion for the designing and artistry process of choosing jewelry to make my ear look absolutely perfect! I am so happy with my experience here and can’t wait to come back!

Crystal was the best piercer!! She was very sweet and fun to talk to, and thankfully did not disclose how much the piercing would actually hurt 😂 My rooks are gorgeous, and I left with complete confidence in keeping them clean :)

On a whim I decided to get my nose pierced. When I walked in, I was greeted by friendly faces which made the atmosphere so relaxing. The girl that did my piercing was Crystal, she was very nice and made the piercing super quick. I decided to go to Whiskey River to get my piercing after taking my daughter last year to get her ears pierced. Everyone here is nice, the place is clean, and anyone who gets piercings or tattoos can appreciate that! Would definitely recommend Whiskey River Tattoo!

I’ve gotten two tattoos from them when I went on vacation back to my hometown in Va Beach. I love this place! Everyone was kind and funny!

I’m pretty sure I’ve left a review before, but if I could leave one every time I come in I would. First the staff is great. The front desk is always welcoming and the artists are all funny and welcoming. The shop is ALWAYS clean. They do a great job at scheduling and keeping you updated. I’ve came her before years ago as a walk in. When I was ready to start back up again in 2020 I’ve used Dan who does absolutely some of the best work I’ve ever seen. I will continue to refer everyone here because it is one of the best shops in the Hampton Roads.

Stacy did a wonderful job piercing my 6yr old daughters ears a few weeks ago. I *love* that they did both ears at the same time. Stacy gave us excellent after care instructions. My girl’s ears have healed with zero issues. I love the flat back earrings too. Stacy is so happy, fun and personable. We came back today for more earrings (and we got to see Stacy again!) and my daughter said, “Stacy is my favorite.”We highly recommend Stacy and Whiskey River!!

I havent gotten my ears pierced since I was a baby. I have been wanting an industrial piercing for a while now. I was recommend this place by a friend and I couldnt be happier! Scarlett is AMAZINGGGGGG!! I was so nervous and worried about what would happened but she walked me through the whole process. I didnt get the bar but something so much better in my opinion. I’ve been going to Whiskey River Tattoo for a little over a year now and i cannot recommend this shop enough. from several nose piercings and a couple tattoos, i’ve had some of the best, welcoming, and comfortable experiences here. Stacey and Oli put so much time and care into their work…so much so that i won’t get pierced by anyone else. everyone in the shop is very nice, the only bad part is that i can’t stay and talk to them all day. if you live in the VB area and have a little extra, i highly highly recommend getting something done here… you will not regret it!!

First of all I’d like to say this studio is clean and beautiful, with a staff that’s friendly and helpful. I walked into the shop with no idea about the process but that didn’t matter because everyone was so incredibly accommodating and friendly. Stacey helped me with several ear piercings and now I feel so beautiful!!! The jewelry selection they offer is absolutely to die for. I was practically drooling over the many delicate, one of a kind, hand made pieces of jewelry they have available. Everything was so stunning I couldn’t decide so Stacey did all the work and put together the most beautiful combination, I couldn’t have dreamed this up if I tried. Now I feel like some sort of goddess and I can’t wait to go back for more.

My last piece was a memorial piece for my great aunt and Tony was so attentive to detail and truly heard what I wanted and needed and put it into a beautiful piece. Stacey the head jeweler and ear art curator is a JEWELRY ANGEL.I am a jewelry junkie and she made all my dreams come true!!!! Stacey is beyond passionate about what she does. It isn’t a hobby or just her job. This is her whole lifestyle, her whole personality. Hello there, I just went to this place and it is wonderful 😊 staff and all. Catherine was wonderful 💖 set me and my fiance up with our wedding tattoos 😍 and will show pictures soon, and then the lovely Scarlett pierced my nose and I am really scared of needles she was so GENTLE that I didnt feel nothing but a lite Pinch. And then hopefully 🙏 Tony will work on our tattoos and then back TO NC.

I love everything about this place. Everyone is so talented and welcoming. They make you feel so comfortable which has made my piercing experiences feel more awesome!!! I’ve gotten both my nostrils pierced here first by stacey who first off is hilarious and super creative. She gave me a beautiful clean piercing with minimal pain! I didn’t even feel the needle puncture me😂 I just got my second one done yesterday with Oli who made my mermaid dreams come true with my teal stud🧜‍♀️Oli was incredible and relatable and went through every step of the process with me which really eased my nerves. Once again my piercing was a breeze when it came to pain and Oli reassured me to always hit her up with any questions at all and reminded me on how to take care of the piercing for a good and steady healing process❤️whiskey river rocks and I 11/10 recommend getting pierced here and I can’t want to come back for future tattoos and more piercings!!

10 plus stars if I could give it. Hands down to Whiskey River! This really is the only place you should consider in all of VA Beach, if you want professional body piercing or tattoos done. Not only are the ladies friendly but also extremely knowledgeable. The place is nicely decorated with a very cool theme. Super clean and they make sure everything is sterilized before touching you. Yesterday, my 7-year-old daughter got her ears pierced for the first time at Whiskey River Tattoo in Virginia Beach. She was incredibly nervous but the two piercers Stacey and Scarlett were so incredibly patient, kind, encouraging, sweet, and walked her through every step of the way! Even though she didn’t make it through the first time, we came back 30 minutes later and they were happy to try again! And she made it all the way that time! She received a Certificate of Bravery and even got a goody bag of gifts!A huge thank you to the staff of Whiskey River Tattoo for being so supportive and kind to my sweet girl. I highly recommend them for all your piercing and tattoo needs. 11/10 would recommend. 💜

Artist Dan and rest of staff made my first tattoo experience amazing! The process was easy and I definitely felt heard and understood regarding the design I had in mind. I felt welcome and valued as a client. Instead of just taking my money to slap on something they knew might fade, the artists and piercers were honest and clear about how my initial design might quickly fade and helped me to make adjustments that were true to my original desires but that would last. Im so grateful for their professionalism and for the education! Location is clean, comfortable, and a nice open space. Im DEFINITELY going back! Its healed very well and maintained color under his instructions for care and I have ZERO complaints.

I just wanted to say, I was incredibly impressed by the professionalism and humanity I witnessed as we were waiting for our appointment was incredible. I watched as an upset customer tested everyones patience and they handled the situation with maturity and grace. My daughters and my piercings were done with precision and absolute perfection. Ollie and Stacey are wonderful and Kalena and the rest of the staff were so helpful and kind.

My daughter had her ears pierced here. We were fortunate to have Stacey (owner) and Ollie pierce her ears. They did a phenomenal job walking her through the steps and educating us on the (new) proper way to maintain the piercings. The shop is very clean and organized. They had a huge selection of earrings to choose from.The staff were all very knowledgeable and kind. They really made the experience special for my daughter and the other girls who were there. Whiskey River is female owned, primarily uses female suppliers, and she is very down to earth. By the end of visit, I was fortunate to get matching earrings with my daughter and have a mom moment with Stacey which made it even more special. Highly recommend them. Will return for future artistic opportunities.

Absolutely amazing experience with both the artist John and his phenomenal piercer of a wife Stacey. Not only was she able to reopen a piercing that I thought was long closed with no puncture, it was quick an painless. And John gave me one of the best tattooing experiences Ive had. They made me an my best friend feel beyond welcomed.He was extremely thorough and patient with both of our needs, and icouldnt thank him enough for it. My daughter got her ears pierced by Stacey on 9/3. The studio was busy but everyone was so nice. Stacey was amazing with my 8 year old. She explained everything to her and told her she was the boss. Id definitely bring my children back to get their ears pierced again!

Absolutely wonderful experience!!! I had heard this was the place to go and they didn’t disappoint! My teen daughter wanted her first holes pierced and is slightly anxious about needles. Sweet Scarlett put her right at ease! Could not have had a better all around experience. Kindest group of humans who excel in their field!

Stacey is a real mommy to my nose piercing at this point :D I appreciate her and her team’s kind hearts, passion about what they’re doing and the highest level of professionalism and knowledge. I’ve done a few piercings at WRT, trusted them my little sis with her belly button piercing and had an incredibly pleasant experience every time! Moreover, they’ve helped me take care and heal the tattoo I’ve done out of state. If I keep going I’m gonna start sounding cheesy, so go check it out by yourself!

I cant say enough positive stuff about Whiskey River. From the moment we walked in the atmosphere was incredible. I brought my 14 year old in for their first piercing. The artist was so good with them. He made the experience so awesome. Later, we were doing my kids aftercare and they said, if I get more piercings I want him to do them. And that, I feel, is the highest of honors from a kid.So thank you Whiskey River for making my kids first experience with piercings such a positive one. You have customers for life now.

I took my 17 yr old niece and 20 yr old son to Whiskey River to get ear and septum piercings. Not only were piercers Stacey and Oli on another level professionally, their energy and the energy of the entire shop was the utmost. They were friggin masters at putting their customers at ease, educating them, and making them feel like they had all day to spend with them, even with a shop full of people. We are from Richmond and we will drive all the way to WRT for service like this again, no doubt. I can’t speak to a tattoo experience here YET but if you are wanting to get pierced or especially take your kid….WRT 💯. Period.

Excellent tattoo shop. A.J. (the owner) did my work. His technique is almost flawless. His lines look like they could have been made by a laser it looks so precise. Great conversation throughout and the other artists there were friendly as well. Very fair prices too. I would recommend Whiskey River Tattoo to anyone.

My friend and I travelled to Va. Beach for a long weekend get away. Whisky River Tattoo is where the talent is. Stacey is amazing and super sweet. She will help you with anything from a new piercing to ordering Panara for lunch(which she paid for). John is an amazing artist and there is no one else I would want to spend 7 hours on a Sunday with getting a much needed coverup :) I will definitely come back for all of my tattoos!!

We took our 5 year old in to get her ears pierced for her Birthday and could not have hoped for a better experience. Everyone was extremely friendly, and Stacey made our daughter feel so comfortable and safe, she didn’t cry and said she could hardly feel her piercing. This is the ONLY place I will ever go for jewelry!!! Stacey is such an amazing person! I have known her for a very long time and she never ceases to amaze me. She is so knowledgeable, creative, and she really thinks outside the box when it comes to creating custom designs with jewelry! I had so many piercings with low quality jewelry before I let Stacey start picking out pieces, and now I have all white gold with genuine stones. She is an absolute angel! You can give her full creative control and she will create an absolute MASTERPIECE on your ears! You will not regret it. TRUST ME! You really can’t ask for more from a piercer.

This is going to be a different kind of review. This speaks to the professionalism and proficiency in craft. I went in to get a spot repierced after having taken the jewelry out a while back for a surgery. The piercer performed a physical assessment of what I wanted pierced, spoke to me about prior healing experience, and advised that I should wait a bit longer to ensure that it has a greater likelihood of healing and not migrating. How many other places would have just done it and taken my money knowing that it may have just failed? The integrity and tradesmanship here is top notch. I will be recommending Whiskey River to EVERYONE after this experience. Thank you!

Went in tonight to get my daughter’s ears pierced and everyone was so kind and welcoming. Scarlet did an incredible job talking my daughter through the process and Oli patiently answered all our questions. They have excellent quality materials and the facility was incredibly clean.

I’m giving Whiskey River 5 stars and highly recommending! My niece and my daughter both have piercings and after having them done at two other places and not having them healed in over a year every one I spoke with recommended having Oli at Whiskey River have a look. She was informative, professional and knowledgeable, so much so that without saying a word she knew what cleaner was being used and exactly how it was being taken care of lol The staff was hands down great! Kalena another piercer who is being apprenticed by Oli and Cyndrah who was at the counter were fun, kind and extremely educational staff left us all with an experience that was exceptional and there’s absolutely no way I will go anywhere else. Oli has a passion for what she does and makes the experience everyone has personal and memorable. I watched her speak with two other customers and she was thorough with each one and never made anybody feel rushed. I know it seems like I wrote a book but she genuinely cares and that speaks volumes for their business. It’s no wonder Their staff and customers leave happy. They go above and beyond and they are honest and take the time and refuse to let you make any decisions that you won’t be happy with. Their honesty, knowledge and completely positive contagious personalities will keep us coming back. If this is your first time getting a piercing, I highly recommend going there first especially if it’s your first piercing or if you need one that you already have that needs looked at. They are all about the customer and experience and I can’t say enough good about them!

First time going to this place and I had an amazing experience! I highly recommend! I had gotten a helix piercing from another establishment and even after a year it had not fully healed. I started to get worried about it and decided to come to Whiskey River Tattoo to have one of their professional piercers take a look at it. From the moment I walked in the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Kalena and Oli were so comforting and wise as they assessed my piercing and gave me advice on how to proceed. Turns out the place I went to before used the cheapest and wrong piece of jewelry for my type of piercing. So Kalena and Oli helped me clean the piercing and change the jewelry to a more appropriate grade and shape for my piercing. Already I feel more confident and knowledgeable on the aftercare process of my piercing. You can tell the employees here really care about their clients. I know I will definitely be coming back for any and all care I need with my current and future piercings.

Walked in last Saturday looking to get a philtrum piercing. From beginning to end, my experience was amazing. Everyone that helped me, from the woman sitting at the front desk (I’m sorry I forgot your name!) to both Olivia “Oli” who was my piercer, to Stacey (who is also a dope a** piercer there) were just top notch. It was definitely the right decision. These ladies know what they’re doing, are super professional, and will steer you in the RIGHT direction of what would be aesthetically pleasing based off of multiple factors.Oli was extremely meticulous in placement, which was incredibly appreciated, especially considering she was putting a hole in my face lol there were a few people waiting behind me and even then, I did not feel like she was rushing trying to get to the next person. She really prides herself in her craft, as she should, and ensured that no matter how long it took, it was right!I went in by myself and was a little nervous when it was time. So much so that Stacey, who doesn’t even know me personally, sat in the room and held my hand! As stated earlier, everything about my experience there was amazing. Price was reasonable, especially considering the customer service and attention to detail they all provide. I can’t thank them enough!

I decided on whiskey river for a double nostril piercing, and it turned out amazing! Oli and her apprentice, Kalena, were great. They really took their time helping me pick out the right jewelry and answering all my questions. Oli did an incredible job, and made sure my piercings were even and balanced. Came in to get my double Tragus as a walk in on a Wednesday night, and I was greeted by the amazing receptionist who was super patient, sweet, and personable. She honestly made my visit and was very helpful and remained professional and calm despite a problematic customer (unfortunately didnt get her name but she has pink hair). The piercer was quick and professional, kept it short and simple while also being friendly as well. While this shop is a bit pricey for piercing related purchases, the jewelry quality reflects its worth, as well as many of the brands featured are from small businesses. Willing to pay extra for the quality of service and product here any day!

Went to Whiskey River Tattoo after being turned down by 3 shops for any solution for my uneven left/right nostril piercing situation. Professional and friendly shop. Stacy helped my mom with her closed earring holes. Didnt catch the guys name but he did double nostrils for my fiancee and a helix for me, both were done very quickly, and basically no pain or redness after the first day. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely one of the best experiences! Took my 8yo niece to get her ears pierced and from start to finish our time there was so pleasant. The entire staff was polite and professional. Stacy and Kyle were incredible! Stacy explained the entire piercing process to my niece in such a kid friendly manner. Her and Kyle were gentle and ensured she was comfortable. Went in for a consultation with Carson for my first tattoo. The establishment is very clean, had attentive staff, great music and had a good vibe going on. Carson walked me through all the tattooing steps, aftercare, and was very insightful on my design. He was able to actually fit me in on his schedule that day. My daughter has been waiting to get her ears pierced for a few years now. I didn’t want to take her to a low rent establishment where her ears would get infected so I researched for a month and set out for whiskey river tattoo. From the moment you walk in everyone is sooooo nice and welcoming and they really take care of you and explained the process in detail. My daughter selected her studs and we waited for them to get disinfected and off we went to the chair. Stacey Schiff did the honors and she is just a joy and positive energy that put my daughter at ease. She made it such a pleasurable experience and my daughter was all smiles and so happy throughout the entire process. Gr33n and Stacey helped 3 out of 4 members of my family for piercings. Gr33n tapered 2 nostrils open for myself, a conch piercing for my husband, and then Gr33n and Stacey tag teamed to make a great experience for my oldests first piercing (ear lobes). I cannot recommend this staff enough. Customer service was phenomenal, the experience recommend 12/10. Professional and welcoming!

I went in to get my piercing, pierced at a different studio, checked because it was healing wrong. I went in and there was no judgment and everyone was really welcoming. I got the jewlery changed and new aftercare. Amazing staff, particularly Oli who helped with everything for me. It has healed really well since then and I will definetly be coming here for any future piercings!

I started researching studios that have female piercers and the reviews for WR were top tier. I kept seeing amazing things about Oli so I decided to walk into WR and cross my fingers that she was the one working. Thank goodness she was! Oli, and the woman at the counter (I don’t remember her name) were both so incredibly sweet. Oli took the time to explain the piercing to me explicitly, make sure the jewelry I picked out would fit, and clad it to my desired color… the rose gold and green is so pretty!During the piercing Oli took so much time perfecting where the piercing should go based on the anatomy and did a wonderful job walking me through each part of it. Afterwards she gave the most thorough after care instructions that I could have asked for. She even helped out my friend with me who was having some after care issues with her own nose piercing that was done somewhere else.Highly recommend everyone going to see Oli!

So I had an appointment scheduled for today (I didn’t receive any text message reminder or email) made around 2-3 months ago, enough time to practice a design. I’m an artist myself and I know drawing and design takes time. So I asked for a dragon tattoo with red flowers (first picture) the artist told me he was to make “some touches” to make his own original piece (wich I understand) but when I came in today it was totally different from what I wanted (second picture). C’mon that looks like taken out from a dollar tree coloring book. What I mean is like he could have designed that in a hours or less. Then I said that I just wanted it exactly as it appears in the picture I have but the artist got sensible and said he just do original pieces. Damn, months waiting just to that. So I tried to reschedule with someone else who could actually do the tattoo as I want it but they changed their attitude with me after I reject the first draw. So like, nobody could do it. And is ok but I would prefer to hear that months ago than today. Anyways, like I went in late & they stayed with the first deposit. Wich is understandable, time is money. However I did a second deposit thinking someone will do it but everyone had an issue with the tattoo, artists can do whatever is asked for, so I decided to go for a piercing with the deposit ($100) instead of a refund. They made me wait on purpose. I just got one ear piercing for $220.00 with $10.00 on tip. I don’t care to tip but I think tips are earned. Besides I hear them talking ish from other customers between them I hope they get this comment to talk more ish between them. Simple. If you can’t do something don’t try to say “I will make it some touches” just say “I cant do that sorry” or “I dont want to do that bish”. Keep it real. That way I don’t waste my money and you dont waste time. Win Win.

Got my helix pierced with Oli and she did a great job! She is clearly very passionate about her job and made me and my friends feel very comfortable. She was very knowledgeable about piercings and after care. Would definitely recommend her!

I got pierced by Stacey a few weeks and she is absolutely wonderful. She has such a happy bubbly personality and is very easy to talk to which really helps eliminate any nerves about getting pierced. Whiskey River is an incredible place! The staff are all very welcoming, knowledgeable, and eager to answer your questions. I walked in and immediately felt like I was already friends with these folks. Oli is an incredible piercer and knew just how to make me feel comfortable for my rook and nostril piercings. After my rook, I was in a fair amount of pain and needed slight intervention due to light-headedness. Oli jumped into action, got me straight, and made sure I was comfortable before we moved on to the next piercing. All together, this was an amazing experience!

I recommend seeing Stacy for her gorgeous ear curations. Shes got a great eye and is always a pleasure to see. The body jewelry selection here is the best in the area as well.

Just got my first tattoo here and I would highly, highly recommend. Great atmosphere, the front desk personnel are so kind and knowledgeable. I was nervous since it was my first time but the people here made me feel so comfortable and at peace. John did my tattoo and was very precise and kind. Even though I came in as a walk in and had a very small tattoo in mind, he didn’t make me feel rushed or like my tattoo idea was silly. Zero judgment zone. Very clean atmosphere. 10 stars.

Stacey Thiel is the BEST piercer ever!! I wish I could give her 100 stars lol. I go to her for every single piercing and not a single one hurt (14 piercings). She also is great at picking out the perfect stud for you. She is the sweetest lady ever and really takes her piercing work seriously. Stacey also makes you feel very comfortable and not nervous at all. I recommend her to anybody who is looking to get another piercing done. I had an amazing experience with this parlor! The five star review just isnt enough. The front desk lady, Miss Casie, was an absolute delight! She was beyond sweet and just absolutely sincere from the moment I walked through the door. The front room was very cozy and it was very cleanly, as was the actual piercing studio.I came for nipple piercings, about which I were incredibly nervous, and my fears were first alleviated by Casie. The actual piercer, Pu, performed beautifully and got the job done. I couldnt be more happy with the end result! He was incredibly patient and answered all of my questions, not to mention the conversation was enjoyable.Thinking I was okay after my piercing, I discovered that I had gone into shock and the staff came to my rescue immediately! Casie and Stacey (another piercer) got me seated and began to take care of me. Stacey got me some glucose tablets and Casie brought me a coke. I felt better almost immediately. So when I say the staff was sincere and caring, I absolutely mean it! Five stars just isnt enough for this facility and its staff. I am beyond grateful for the service and kindness provided. They have certainly gained a lifelong customer.

Love this tattoo shop. Tony is my go to!! Love his work and he takes the time to listen. I normally give him free range over the tattoo and the colors, if I want color on my tat that is. Clean, comfortable environment, pretty laid back. I went in for a piercing and my piercer was decent. Seemed nice. I didnt really like that my comfort wasnt an option. I have several piercings and that one hurt the worst (worst being like a 5 on a scale from 1-10). I wasnt told to take a deep breath before he pierced, which makes a huge difference to me. Other than that, he basically read my mind about where I wanted it, and leaving room for more in the same area. So either that was his experience showing or hes a mind reader jedi man. I was not given piercing aftercare instructions and wasnt really shown the waiver to read beforehand. I was just told to sign and that was it. I know the drill, so it didnt bother me but for first timers, I would hope theyre given a proper run down. Sounds like a bad review but its really just things I noticed.

Ive been getting a sleeve worked on now since last August. I love coming in to the shop. The front desk people are so friendly and sweet and love chatting about my work. Carl has been amazing to work with, taking my simple idea and creating an incredible work of art. If you are into nerdy stuff like Star Wars and Marvel, Carl is your guy. He is so creative and Im so happy with what Ive got done so far, I cant wait for my next session.

I took my 5 year old daughter here to get her ears pierced. Stacey was absolutely incredible. She talked all of us through the entire process while she did it and we left in high spirits with two pierced ears. They pierced both at the same time so we couldn’t leave lop sided. I can’t say enough great things about this place. 10/10 would recommend.

I had looked into a few places, I felt at peace as soon as I walked in. Johnny did the piercing, he was very professional, very nice, knowledgeable and the piercing is perfectly on the spot both my daughter and I wanted. We are very happy and I highly reccomend them.

So i just got my nose pierced literally 15 ish minutes ago and oli was the lovely piercer who made it happen! she was very informative and quick, it took maybe 5 minutes all together not including her walking me through the aftercare procedure very thoroughly. she was very professional and raised the standard on how nice all piercers should be. again, olí if you see this, tysm! i am in love with it and will be back for any future piercings!

I cannot rave about this place enough! Stacy was the piercer who helped me out today. At first it was going to be a guy who was going to work on me, but I asked for Stacy last minute and they were super understanding and kind, even though they’d have to clean all new tools. I visited Whiskey River Tatoo some months ago for two piercings and was super impressed with their setup. I also really liked the vibe of this place; theyve got retro and pop art on the walls and the piercing chairs are super cool colors. They are super conscious about cleanliness and sterilization which, obviously, is incredibly important for piercings. I saw Sarah, who was friendly and, after explaining the issues I had with my last pair of earrings (probable allergic reaction to nickel), she recommended titanium posts. Piercings went in easily and I went home with saline spray. After about six weeks, I had an issue with my helix piercing and went back in. They changed out the post for a longer one (no charge) and its been healing nicely ever since. Ive taken both my wife and daughter here to get their ears done and continue to be impressed.

This is my favorite local shop. The people here are so welcoming! (I probably spend too much time here) I got my ear pierced and Stacy was amazballs! She lets me come in so she can check my healing and make sure everything is okay. Also Dan is a good tattoo artist. My mom and I both got spur of the moment tattoos recently and Dan fit us in like it was nothing! He was super quick and his lines were great.

A great place to get not only your tattoos but your piercings as well. Theres a wide portfolio of art to peruse but you can also talk to the staff as well about your intended design or options. The technique here used for ear piercings is better than other places in that its surprising how less painful it is to have them have you lay down instead of sitting up like most places. The staff are polite and professional and knowledgeable. They are practicing Covid guidelines. Recommended.

Walked in an hour before closing with three people wanted to get a small, simple tattoo. Obviously its impossible with the time frame, but the artists was super understanding and very accommodating. He came in on his day off and everything to get us all done the next day! We all got small bombs and the circle wasnt lopsided or slightly oval, the shading was phenomenal and the small details were readable. Overall were all very pleased with them. The artist said he was a visiting artist so i dont know how long he has there, but if given the opportunity, ask for Mark! Super kind, very friendly, very talented guy.

Awesome tattoo shop! When I first walked in it was busy with artists and customers. Artists talking with people suggesting different ideas and places to put them. Back in the back there was music and artists laughing, joking around, and complimenting each other’s work. My artist John worked with me on a new design and where it would look best. I walked out with a FANTASTIC piece! At the end of the day this place was super fun and I’ll definitely be back for more ink!

Went in Wed for a consult with Dre for a new tattoo, was able to make an appointment for the next day. Four hours of work and Dre was outstanding. His skills and attention to detail are second to none. I have numerous tattoos and this is the best artwork by far. Cant recommend Whiskey River (and Dre) enough.

I have gotten plenty of tattoos from Randy Templin. I have been following him since 2008 and this is by far one of the best shops I have been tattooed in. The atmosphere is welcoming. Front desk receptionist is very welcoming and cheerful. The Artist are down to earth and and very cool. The artist do not have you waiting around to get set up. Everything is set up to start for your appointment. Shop is clean and I like how the decor is.

There is this lady. @staceyschiffthiel She has peirced me at least a dozen times over the last few years. She has peirced my 6 year old daughters ears in the most empathetic, kind, compassionate and MOST IMPORTANTLY body positive way I could have ever asked for. She informed us of what she was doing. She asked for permission to do each step from my daughter before proceeding, ending with a very happy 6 year old who got to make the choice to change her body. Stacey is wonderful. She is kind. She is understanding. She is real. She is over all an amazing person. She is the reason I have gorgeous ears. They are easily my favorite part of my body. Always dressed up, often way over dressed for the occasion perfectly. And never ever over looked.

Really easy to work with, very professional. The location is pretty well thought out, by a lot of landmarks. The place is very clean out front, cant say much about the back because I havent gotten my tattoo yet. I showed them the style of tattoo I wanted, and asked who they would recommend, and they showed me the artwork of who they chose, and its exactly what I was hoping for. My tattoo gets started 09July2018. Will update this after. Dont listen to the two negative reviews. The most recent one is by a guy named Clyde who, by looking at his profile pic and other reviews left by him, seems like an angry person in life.

They were super friendly and did an amazing job making sure my 5 year old felt comfortable and in control and informed her every step on what they were doing and they did a great job piercing her ears and informing us how to care for them i definitely recommend going to them!

I have nothing but rave reviews for this place! I first came in back in February for a septum piercing by Pu Nastee but have returned several times since for jewelry. They have the best stuff!! Not only was the piercing experience excellent but each time I’ve gone in I have received exemplary customer service. Yesterday I was upset, work told me I needed to change my septum piece and reduce the size of my side nostril studs. I spoke with Sarah who helped me find the perfect pieces. I explained my frustration with having paid hundreds for a gold a Diamond piece that I had to remove. She suggested I use them in my ears since I already had piercings. A novel idea I hadn’t thought of. Stacey took me back and fitted me with the tiniest most perfect gold septum ring and moved the diamonds to my third hole. The Swarovski cluster I had in the side was placed in my tregus! I haven’t had anything there in nearly two decades, but the hole was still open. I was elated! They literally made my day! Today I stopped in bc my hoop opened each time I blew my nose. Kyle (Gr33n) swooped me back, tightened the hoop and taught me how to blow properly. I just love these guys! I know this may all seem trivial but collectively the crew here has participated and even enhanced the joy I have being able to express myself fully and I highly recommend Whiskey River Tattoo for ALL of your piercing needs. I came in to get a cover up rose tattoo on my wrist/forearm for a tattoo I recently got on my wrist from another shop and it exceeded my expectations. The staff is super professional and super friendly they really make you feel welcome and not like an inconvenience. The tattoo was a spitting image of what I wanted and I couldn’t be more pleased. I’m so thankful I finally found a shop and tattoo artist that listens to what I want and sees the same vision I do. I recommend this place to anyone and will definitely come back!

Got our 8 yr old daughters ears pierced. Stacey was great and made the whole experience easy and fun. She is definitely a pro. The place looks great too, very bright and clean with a nice lounge area in front.

Jay completed my sleeve. I traveled from another state just to get my work done. Vagabond took his time and had the cleanest line work that I have ever seen. His personality is inviting. His work is impeccable, and i would travel anytime just to get his work. I have people ask me all the time who did my tattoo, when I tell them they look at it again and say “yeah I would travel out of state as well to get that kind of work done too”. I highly recommend him.

My daughter and I got matching tattoos on a whim. We were taken right away and our artist Mark Schwartzman was awesome! Love our tattoos and the atmosphere. Everyone we encountered was nice and courteous and very well informed. Sad our artist is only visiting would definitely come back to him.

My friend and I called literally every shop in VB and nobody had availability for walk ins. We called and there was no wait. When we showed up, we were met promptly and received great service. Dan, the tattoo artist, was so light handed and made the tatt super painless. I have two others from other artists at different locations and they were painful. It really turned me off to the idea of another one after a 10 year break, Dan gave me a completely different experience and changed my view of tattoos. Ill definitely see him again when I get my next tattoo in a few months.

Staff is extremely friendly! Very professional and the environment is very clean and sterile. During the covid-19 crisis they took extreme precautions and were wiping everything down regularly! Definitely get your tattoo done here!! Staff welcomed me and made me feel comfortable!

Went to get my ears retapered. Was told by Stacey that the jewelry was “permanent”. She mentioned that the jewelry was hard to take out and needed a special process. I came back at a later date to get my belly button retapered. Mentioned to the staff about permanent jewelry. The girl there (I didn’t get her name) laughed at me and gave me a snarky response, telling me that “no jewelry is permanent unless it’s literally welded to your skin”. She told me that the jewelry just twists off like normal. Ok, rude, but fine. Went and got the belly button retapered. It was $115. Guess what? I can’t take it out because the jewelry is impossible to unscrew. Please train your staff on the jewelry types. Or at least have them speak nicely to customers. I’ll have to come back in at some point so that they can remove the jewelry because I can’t take it out myself.Update in case it wasn’t clear: I’m not insisting that the jewelry is permanent. I’m just mentioning what I was told. The problem I had was the girl laughing at me and giving me a sarcastic response without actually being helpful. She could have shown me how to get the jewelry off, for example.

Had a great experience at Whiskey River Tattoo. From the moment we walked in, we knew we chose the right place for my daughters first tattoo. The staff was very nice, our tattoo artist, Julian, did an awesome job and the place was very clean! Will definitely recommend this place to anyone and will go again for my next tattoo.

Went to get a tattoo of my cat today and had a wonderful experience! It was my first tattoo and Randy took all the necessary time to make it look just perfect. It was a small tattoo with lots of details and the result was above my expectations. Would totally recommend. Super friendly, helpful and professional!

I have been working with Randy for the last year to complete my sleeve and he is amazing! He takes my ideas and turns them into art that I could never come up with in my mind and puts it to skin. I havent seen any poor pieces come from this shop, every artist has their own unique style. Ive seen almost every artists work, and all are done with great skill, an affordable price, and everyone is extremely friendly as well. They also do piercings here, and theres great food right next door if you have to wait for your walk in appointment to come up.

I went to get a piercing. Pulled in the parking lot sat there for over 30 minutes just my own thinking lol. Left and came back like 30 minutes later....Walked in, was greeted. I have to say Stacey is so personable. She makes it seem like your talking to a friend. She even helped get an earring out that I couldnt for a few years. Hands down the best person to get pierced by.

First off- shout out to Stacy, she did everything possible to right a wrong. Shop is clean and staff is cool. Started out with my artist being 2.5 hours late as I sat around waiting...probably should have left then but that’s on me. The half sleeve was started here, got all my line work done and scheduled the next appointment. Came back a few weeks later to start the color, sat around for 30 minutes until the manager said he hadn’t seen or heard from artist. He called him and he stated he forgot about me. The artist then gave me a date and time a week later to come in. I showed up a week later, and while waiting over the appointment time, Stacy (who is so sweet) came over and said they hadn’t heard from him all day. She then told me she would make it right for me and would hook me up with another artist. She called me days later with a new appointment and artist. I was leaving home today for said appointment and was called while on the way by Stacy who said the new artist is recovering from an injury and can’t come. So now, I’m sitting in a new shop after going through the headache of finding a new shop and artist. So far spent half the day driving around to find an artist who wants to take on a half done tattoo they didn’t design. Get your staff together! Manager the slackers. It’s like you guys don’t like money.

Had an amazing experience at this shop. They were able to take me in and give me the tattoo I wanted, the exact way I wanted it.Vagabond Jay did my tat and I couldnt be any more happier about it. He was able to cover up an old tattoo and scar that I had in the area with great success.Would highly recommend this shop. The interior is very nice and I really liked the layout of the shop. I plan on going back for my next tattoo.

Just got a awesome Sleeve finished up by Jackie Spillane, and he did a fantastic job! Super friendly staff and awesome artwork! Fair prices! Jackie does great work and works with anyone! Love this shop most definitely will come back!

Called and talk to Johnny about needing a replacement nose piercing because I lost mine. When I came in he helped me pick the right nose ring and changed it for me. Johnny was very knowledgeable and professional the shop is very clean and cool looking. I decided to ask Johnny if he could do my daith piercing in both of my ears in which he took me on the spot and it was quickly applied. Thank you Johnny for my awesome new piercings!

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They helped my family member pick out the right jewelry, and replaced the old jewelry for them. Overall it was an awesome experience, and we will definitely be going back!

Brought my daughter here to get her ears pierced by Stacey and she was a dream. It is pricey, but worth it in my opinion. Super cool vibe, and really friendly people.

I came here a couple years ago as well and had some lettering done on my shoulders. Friendly staff easy scheduling and some same day/walk ins available (give or take because of Covid)

Whiskey River Tattoo has a great sense of humor, Western-themed lobby & very friendly, efficient receptionists. The artwork displayed by the artists is diverse & well-done. They have all styles & could probably work up something for everyone. (Please think carefully about what you want & where youd like it placed.) Also, these folks are pros & theyre worth the time & $... especially, Jason Adkins!

I got a nostril piercing and this place was great! All of the people were friendly and knew what they were doing. When I felt sick after my piercing, they knew exactly what to do. Incredible place, I cannot recommend enough!

Went in to check out the place and they were so super friendly I went and decided to get my next tattoo there. I was instantly greater with warm welcomes and they were so hospitable towards everyone. The process was quick and easy, the artist got to know me and was awesome. I will definitely be going back for my next tattoo adventures and will recommend them to anyone I know getting tattoos.

Mary Moss is your “GO TO” for anything light, feminine and floral. I drove 6 1/2 hours for a coverup tattoo from her and she way surpassed my expectations!!

Im almost 60 years old and had an ugly scar on my right upper arm and shoulder area from emergency surgery 2 years ago. I had made up my mind I wanted it covered. I had a consultation with Jay, one of the artists there. I explained what I wanted and was back for the tattoo two days later. I could not be more pleased! He was not only professional, but friendly and explained everything. He came up with the perfect way to cover the scar. I HIGHLY recommend him and the establishment!

Randy is the best artist I have ever worked with. I did my research when planning on my memorial tattoo and Randy was the best by far! He is also really great to work with. Worth every single penny. Don’t go anywhere else.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by everyone in the shop. They were all smiling and friendly and the whole place was immaculate! Everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable. We were in and out for a piercing very quickly and could not be happier!

Hold your staff accountable! I went in Sunday and asked about a tattoo and what staff would be available on Tuesday to get an idea of the work. Lady at the desk was super sweet and told me walk ins are always welcome and who would be there. She told me that they should be in at noon. I went in today and a different girl was at the desk. She was relatively rude and vaguely condescending. I was told that one of the artists the other woman had to me about wasnt coming in at all and the other decided not to come in until his 1 o clock appointment, but I could stick around and see if he would squeeze me in. I personally dont want something permanent to be squeezed in. If youre staff is supposed to be there, they should be there. It was frustrating and the attitude was offputting. I ultimately went to another shop, but was super disappointed in the contrast between my Sunday and Tuesday encounters

My friends and I had a piercing night and the lady at the front, kaci (kasey? Sorry if I’m spelling it wrong), was so helpful! She’s very knowledgeable and also super kind! I would definitely recommend this place! The staff knows their stuff and are amazing.

This a great and professional place to get a tattoo. I came in to get a cover up tattoo done and had a basic idea of what I wanted. The artist knew exactly what I was asking for. What I got was a fantastic tattoo that had all of what I wanted but looked ten times better than I had imagined. The people are pleasant and professional and the place is hygienically clean. Will definitely go back there for another tattoo.

Let me start off by saying I never leave reviews unless something is really bad, so this is a break from the norm. I had been looking for someone to touch up some poorly done tattoos that Ive had for a while. I can see Whiskey River out my office window and thought I would wander over and see what could be done with them. The two ladies that greeted me and the gentlemen that would end up being my artist, Jackie, were straight with me on it. In the end, with their recommendations I opted to do a cover up because the existing ones couldnt really be saved. I went this evening for my first session with Jackie and had a wonderful experience. We had discussed what i wanted at my impromptu consultation, and what he drew up for me nailed it. There were a couple of times near the end where I had to stop for a few minutes because I was reaching my limit on pain, but Jackie hung in there with me and was very patient. I left with beautiful line work and shading, and Im looking forward to going back for color once Ive healed.

I went in today to get my dermal piercing. When I walked in I was greeted by Ron. He was so polite and very sweet. I was a little nervous and he talked me through it. Hands down this is the best place I have been too. Thank you Ron for your help this afternoon.

So I’ve had a couple tattoos done here and had a great initial experience every time. Dan is a great artist and did an amazing job on my Medusa sternum piece. But an artist who no longer tattoos at this studio did indeed spell “femme fatale” as “femme fetale” on my neck. I don’t place all blame on the artist whatsoever as it’s just as much the clients job to check behind and verify the work going on their body. Although I do hold accountable the artist for the work they put their name behind. I will be having the tattoo partially removed and then corrected by a different artist. I hope this serves as an example not to become the “no regerts” guy.

It pains me to right this review but it was unfortunately my experience. After many review and recommendations my girlfriend and I decided to go here to get similar outdoor themed half selves. (side note she had a great experience, artist and tattoo). We went in and everyone was friendly, nice clean place. Explained what tattoos we wanted and were on a slight time restriction, about 3 months left in the area. We were ensured that this would not be a problem. I was matched up with the owner of the shop to do my tattoo. He drew a a rough free hand example and we discussed what details I wanted. Same with my GF artist. The owner told me he didnt do appointments until the drawing was completed approx 2 weeks and he would contact me, no problem in my book. My GF left with an appointment preset. Fast forward about 3 weeks later, I called to check the progress because I had not heard from the owner. I was told that my name and number were taken down and he would call me back the next day. I was never contacted. The next week I went in with my GF to her appointment for her outline to be completed. The owner was there but did not approach me until her outline was nearly completed. He asked if I was still wanting that tattoo, obviously I said yes, told me to give him just a minute and he had my drawing. A few moments later he came back and presented me with another very rough sketch, done free hand in red pen. I was upset but discussed with him my likes and possible changes to be made. He then told me he would send me a finished, real outline in less than 48 hours. Nearly 7 additional days passed, no picture was sent but they called to set up an appointment. At this time I would be leaving in 2 weeks, was told it would be at least 2 sessions and would require a 3-4 week healing time. Obviously the time was not enough. So after much frustration, poor communication, and just overall lack of professionalism I cancelled my appointment. My GF did go back and finished her and it turned out great. The only good thing that came out of my experience was that if a tattoo artist shows little to no interest in doing your piece and overall putting off bad vibes its probably best to move one. They did refund me my 100$ deposit. My advice: if the owner is your artist do not leave without an appoint, be sure you get a copy of your outline before showing up, and make sure he doesnt forget about you, if you use him at all. I am sure I am in the minority with this experience, but none the less, this needed to be posted.

Paid 80$ for a small coin sized tattoo. Out of line, uneven. Both my tattoo and my sisters’ peeled completely even with proper care as these are not our first tattoos’. Lady was nice and didn’t make us pay full price when calculations was made but in reality we asked multiple times an she gave us a lower estimate in the beginning

People in here act like they know everything and want to tell me what I can have on MY skin. Just say you won’t do the tattoo. Don’t try to flip it all around and change everything to the the point it’s a completely different piece. So you’ll take my money when it’s something you wanna do but not if it’s a tattoo I want. Go somewhere else you’ll save money and brain cells
