Upon entering I was greeted, celebrated for my 100lb weight loss, and got help and good advice in choosing my jewelry and how to care for it! Jeremy did the piercing and he was great! Very kind, informative, and clean! I 100% recommend their service! Thanks again Jeremy!

Went to get 4 piercings today! I was not sure what I wanted and Haley helped me and my daughter pick the best jewelry. My daughter was only getting 2 piercings and ended up getting 4! Cane was our piercer.. he was professional, fast and did a wonderful job! I want to say thank you so much! This was amazing experience! We also were told about a special event called “Sunday Funday”, which allows you to get all standard piercings for $10. We’ll be back, trust me! Our experience was smooth, little wait time, shop clinic and a vast selection of jewelry!!!

I have gotten 4 different piercings from this establishment and have never had a complaint. They are always so friendly and welcoming. They are clean, have great customer service and will give you quality piercings and jewelry. I recently got a piercing from caine and I wanted to hug him when we were finished. He really was a gentle giant and made my first daith piercing experience amazing. Thank you guys again for all you do & we will definitely be back soon.

From the moment I entered the building, it was a magical experience with the lovely front desk gal . One of the experienced and knowledgeable tattoo artist that greeted me kindly started off with my quarter sleeve and how beautiful it looked . Ethan(my tattoo artist)is absolutely phenomenal. Loves kitties, loves pink, clean and sterile work place , instant connection like Ive met him in another life 🧬 his artist abilities are on point, makes you feel very comfortable. Cant express enough how everything about the overall experience of this business was over and beyond what I could of expected. Got my first piercings here, but I came by today to get some jewelry and supplies and the girl with dyed hair was so condescending and rude. I asked for tattoo ointment and she asked how healed my tattoos were, I said theyre fully healed and she said I should use any lotion but I said I came here for tattoo moisturizer because it makes it look more vivid...also do I have to explain Im about to get a new tattoo? If i want a product just show it to me dont interrogate me. I was gonna still buy earrings but she was talking down to me like I was dumb so I just left. 👎🏻 i would give less stars if my first appointment hadnt been so professional and comfortable by the guy with tats and horns

Their 10$ Sunday deal is the best 15$ any other day I have been coming here since I could remember great customer service as well!!! I love it here! I come all the way from Hampton and there is a Blue horseshoe right up the street! Its worth the ride for sure!

I go to VB ink for all of my piercings. I have gotten navel, rook, and conch with them. My friends have had serval piercings with them including helix and lobes. Super affordable. I get the standard titanium pieces and have never had an issue with healing. They are precise with their work and know what they are doing. Cannot recommend them enough! I have also had a line work tattoo done with Ethan. He did a great job with the lines and made them super straight. He did what I was looking for but also gave me options on his own creative measures. If you are looking for a good affordable option for tattoos and piercings choose VB ink. You get the same quality of work as other, more expensive shops!

I was at the beach & the wind blew my sunglasses off which caught onto my nose ring & pulled it out!! I decided to come here (although I didnt originally get it pierced here) & they were super patient & helped me pop it back in!! I just got it pierced a few months ago, so its relatively fresh, I was freaking out but they calmed my nerves. Super clean & friendly! (2nd photo is me the day after to show you it was all fixed up)!!

Went in today because my wife was getting an ear piercings. While she was picking out her earring and filling out paperwork, I decide to pull the trigger and get my septum pierced (my first ever piercing). Front desk staff were fantastic in ensuring I was in good hands with Jeremy. With that being said, Jeremy was fantastic and made me feel super relaxed! Will definitely go back for more!

Today we got a mom/daughter tattoo. BT was with both of us as my daughter was nervous. Our tattoos came out so cute!!! Would highly recommend and am totally coming back!! Thanks Virginia Beach Ink!!

They pierced my labret (not a verticle a standard labret) way too high and I asked several piercers there if it was placed correctly and instead of honestly saying that it was messed up they continued to reassure me it was correct. I went to go get jewlery at another local shop when the piercer kindly asked me if I felt my lip wasnt healing bc it was too high. Which finally confirmed my suspicion. I have since gotten 2 other opinions and have now taken my piercing out to heal. Sad to have such a bad experience for my first piercing. I will say I do beleive the gentleman who worked there and piefced is no longer piercing there. The front desk is very nice and such I have given 2 stars.

My husband and I are new to the area, and started our search for a new shop by reading Google reviews. After reviewing pictures and reading positive reviews, I decided to read the negative ones. When I read the manager’s awesome clap backs to some absolutely ridiculous reviews, I knew I had to stop and see if they had an artist who would do the art we wanted. We fully expected to make a deposit and walk out with an appointment for a month from now - but we were delighted when the front desk said “how about today?” Dorsey was great and created exactly what we asked for. He is an absolute artist. Very professional shop with a great atmosphere in the work area. We will be back.

I got my septum done here. The piercer has 15 years experience and it most definitely shows. I was a walk-in on a Saturday. With paperwork, getting the piercing and the aftercare talk, I was out in 30 minutes. He hit the sweet spot perfectly on my nose and it was very minimal pain, he knew exactly what he was doing. The price was drastically better than anywhere we had called about. My husband & I are most definitely going back for more work! They talked a little fast for me, you could tell they had given the lectures plenty of times about the waivers & aftercare, but they did not mind at all to repeat anything I missed and answered all my questions very thoroughly. The vibes, the people, even the bathroom cleanliness was a 10/10. Ive already recommended it to a few people, I recommend it to whomever is reading this review as well. 😊 express yourself!

Still mustering up the strength to get a tattoo but so far they’ve done all 9 of my piercings . Everyone is super friendly and makes you feel very welcome and comfortable. Love this place !!!

This is a really chill spot I love the ambiance the people that work there are so cool and different and their own authentic ways. It is totally clean in there as well. My nose piercing was only $10 I recommend to not get the cheap jewelry because I did have a reaction but went back and they gave me a titanium and replaced it and yeah its better.

Very upset. Came in for a tattoo on my vacation to Virginia Beach. I got Ethan, it was $200 for a simple line work tattoo, I left to realize that the hip was missing completely from the woman’s body. And now days later, the lines are starting to get blotchy and the ink is dissapearing. The tattoo was very rushed and I will have to be getting this redone. Atmosphere is great but do not go to Ethan.

I had a great experience at this shop. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with smiles. With my mom recently passing I was a mess but everyone was so patient with me. And my artist, Dorsey, was phenomenal! He brought to life exactly what I was looking for and was so friendly during the entire session, which didnt take very long. Hes after care instructions were very easy to follow and 2 weeks later my tattoo is healing beautifully. It had been a while since Ive gotten a tattoo and they have me excited about getting more pieces done. Thank you again, guys! You have a customer for life!

The man at the front desk was very snappy with me and refused to show me jewelry, or discuss jewelry pricing, until after I filled out all the paperwork. Very strange considering Ive been a customer there at least 3 times before. The shop was completely empty. To Blue Horseshoe I go.

I went in to get my nose pierced. The pricing is great its $15 everyday except for Sundays and they start off at $10 on Sunday. Jeremy did my pierce. I love it. You can ask as many questions as you like also. They do walk-in for piercing.

Came here last week to get my septum pierced and my piercer was awesome! He was very professional and talked me through the whole process. I’m sorry I can’t remember his name but he had the really cool looking eyes!

I went in yesterday with intentions on getting a horizontal tongue piercing and left with so much knowledge on how dangerous the piercing is. Although I didn’t get pierced on my visit I definitely plan to come back in the future. They could of easily took my money and did the piercing but the fact they didn’t and gave me information my previous piercer should of told me says A LOT. Integrity is clearly important at this shop.

I have been here numerous times. Barry is my particular artist. He does amazing work. Makes you feel completely comfortable while he does his thing. Prices are well within reason for the work you get. Heis working on my half sleeve right now, but I have already talked to him about my next few.

Me n friend Went and got matching tattoos for my bday. Definitely think they over charged us. Out tats were only about 2 inches if that n simple, no color or anything literally an outline. They charged us $100

Came here for my first tattoo. Was charged $120 for something small but I really wanted it and I didn’t know any better. I thought that was normal for price until I started getting more tattoos from other places. Artists all have different prices for their work. I learned my lesson after coming here. No regrets though. I’ve been taking care of the tattoo and 10 years later, it still looks good. Great quality. I’ve also had 4 piercings from here. All still in use and great condition.

I’ve been coming her for awhile no complaints healed great. But I went to get a hoop sized for my ear and I was given the wrong size when two people sized it . The hoop was too small and was told I couldn’t get a refund. Wasted $30 on something I can’t even use.

I went to this location and got a tattoo a little over 2 weeks by Brian W. and I absolutely love it! When walking in, I was greeted by the sweetest lady behind the front desk. I cant remember her name but her hair was beautifully colored!! She was very friendly and polite, and answered all of my questions. It was very clean in there and was very nicely setup! I didnt have to wait long to get a tattoo so I was happy about that. Brian was extremely nice and was able to perfectly create the vision I had for my tattoo! Hes very creative and is truly a talented artist. It didnt take long for the tattoo to be completed and he kept very good conversation with me throughout my time there, so I wasnt nervous. The prices are very reasonable! I highly recommend this place!

Outstanding customer service and artist. As soon as I walk through the door its dealing with friends, been coming here since late 2021 and have had excellent work every session. Barry took my concept and made it into a tattoo Im happy to have on my skin and show off. From the moment I walked in to the moment I had my last session Ive enjoyed the atmosphere and the interactions with the people working there. 100% would recommend to anyone looking to get some quality work done.

From what I have experienced at this location, it has been great. The staff is welcoming and friendly. I personally received piercing work, and my artist was amazing. Amazing beside manner and fantastic skill.

My party of 8 (2 adults-1 had not arrived yet, 4 kids 13 and up, a 5 y/o, and a 10 month old in a stroller) were aggressively told no kids allowed in the shop. Was I expected to leave my minors in the shop to tell them what they want, where they want it, pick out the jewelry, fill out the forms, and pay? Not to mention my ID along with their school IDs had to be displayed and photo copied. If I hadnt drove 20 minutes to get there and the percings were more than $10, I would have left.On the other hand, the piercer was pleasant. He was hangry but pleasant. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I got my tongue pierced by Clinton and he was awesome I was told about how amazing he was but he definitely lived up to the hype. It was my most painless piercing and he made sure I was comfortable and got me in and out. He answered all of my questions and made my experience awesome. The counter people were amazing and so sweet.

Brian did my neck tattoo. He did an amazing job shading an outline did a wonderful job, drawn it up and helping me put what I was seeing in my head on paper. I will definitely be back. also, the staff at the front desk was very kind and courteous. I highly recommend.

I’ve been to this business several times to have my nose ring replaced. The front desk staff is so polite and nice and the tech are very professional. I’m so Impressed with how nice everyone is. Highly recommend and when and if I get a tattoo I know where I’ll go!!

I went in for their flash sale and found one I really liked, And my artist Barry was super friendly and even let me make it bigger to my liking. The whole atmosphere was very welcoming and Barry did a wonderful job on my tattoo. It was my first and I throughly enjoy it, I can’t stop staring at it! I came in to the shop for the Halloween flash tattoo and unfortunately they were already packed up with appointments. The front desk representative was extremely helpful. She explained the situation and when I told her I was still interested in getting a tattoo in the near future she told me where to look for the artists online and recommended some of the artists that would fit the style of tattoo I am looking to get. I have looked at multiple shops in the area and they have won me over for my next tattoo with their customer service.

Love this place. As soon as I walked in I was greeted warmly and treated kindly the entire time. Andrew was especially helpful, funny and knowledgeable. Shimp, my piercer did an amazing job and my piercing has since healed perfectly with zero complications. I recommend the healing spray they sell as well, it worked wonders. I have gotten over 30 piercings and 3 tattoos at this place over the past 10 years, and I have never been happier with them. They will always share their professional opinion on what will and wont work with your body. As long as you are upfront with them, they will be with you. Quite a few times I wanted a certain piercing, only to be educated on why my body would reject it. This place cares about their clients and they go beyond to prove it. I cant wait to see yall again!!

I got my nipples pierced here they were nice quick and clean. They only do the regular tongue piercing here. It’s a bit pricey, but your getting good quality jewelry and my piercing healed really fast. It was just sore that day but after that they were pretty tolerable.

While this was not my first tattoo, I always have intense anxiety when it comes to getting one - so much I almost always back out of it lol! However, Brian Allen made it the best experience possible. He was patient w me as I readjusted the tattoo a trillion times & changed the size a billion times. He is so so great & an one of a kind artist. Will be coming back!!!!!

Just would like to share that my experience taking my daughter to get a piercing at Va Beach Ink was very professional. I had a chance to talk with the staff and under the circumstances they were very nice and performed their jobs very well. Kyle the shops piercer was personable, friendly, and professional. When we were leaving the owner Ben approached me and we were able to talk about a previous issue at a different location. I will say that I really appreciate him taking the time to talk to me. I loved coming here the shop was extremely clean, followed the mandates and took all reasonable precautions during the pandemic. The staff was friendly and kind. The wait room even had a TV for entertainment. All in all while we were in the shop it was a wonderful experience. The only bad thing is me and my best friend came in for matching tattoos and when we returned home we realized they were not the same, their were quite a few differences. If we had noticed in the shop it wouldnt have been bad, because Im sure they would have fixed it, but we live 3 hours away and didnt get home until 7:45. I would still definitely recommend them though 🙂

First off, the ladies behind the front counter were very kind and communicative. I went in for a piercing and she let me know it would be about an hour and a half so the piercer could take a break. When I came back later they went over everything and answered all my questions. Next, the piercer was very professional. Lady from the front came back as well (safety for employees/customers i assume). It was a very professional interaction and very happy. Thank you so much!

I had an absolutely phenomenal first experience here yesterday. I came in after work as a walk in for not one but TWO tattoos. The shop was beyond clean and super welcoming. The front desk was polite and helpful, and even though I was awful at clearly articulating what I wanted done they and the artist had so much patience and made sure we were all on the same page. The artist Josh made sure I knew the implications on price for each variation, was efficient, made sure I was doing all right the whole time, and I ended up leaving with two new gorgeous pieces. I look forward to going back here for any future tattooing or piercing needs.

Tonight I got my first body piercing in over 5 years and I am beyond happy. I was super nervous but the kindness and professionalism I experienced put me at ease. I don’t remember the ladies names at the front desk but they were amazing. Clinton took great care of me, was gentle but quick. I’m excited to come back for more.

Was scared to get the piercing when I walked in, the staff upfront were wonderfully helpful and SO comforting right away. The piercing was quick but very well done! though I passed out, they were absolutely amazing and stayed with me the whole time til I felt well enough to get up, and made sure I was okay until i left. The experience all around was lovely. Never felt so much confidence in a shop til today!

I went in to get my vertical labret. Walked out with a dermal. The two lovely ladies were very friendly and inviting. The piercer was very up front and let me know he wont pierce it because on me because my lips arent full enough and if he did I would have complications and it would just end up falling out. I respect his honesty because anyone can pierce someone for the money and call it a day not caring because they got paid. He asked me about other piercings since I already paid and did my dermal. I now have 15 piercings and VB ink has done all of them and its the only place I know I trust and the only place I recommend to other people especially hearing their horror stories at other places.

I was in Virginia Beach for a little vacation. I’ve been talking about getting my nose pierced for years but was too scared ! I went here and was pierced by shimp. He was AWESOME !!! Also the ladies in the front were as well. Their shop is so nice and clean. I was literally in and out. This was an excellent experience and will be back there to get my first tattoo done as well !

The location is clean and bright, reminded me of a spa waiting room, and the staff were excellent and personable. The piercer Hayley (sp?) was also wonderful. I had two piercings and one tapered and she did them as quick and painless as possible. They even made custom jewelry by running electric current through it, which was multicolored and beautiful. Definitely my new place to go!

Ive been going to VBink for a decade at least. Recently discovered I could get titanium piercings without rejecting. I was super stoked to get 2 vertical helix piercings with Kyle, who is fabulous. He takes his time and skilled at the piercing process. Id rate the place higher but the place could afford to let the two mopey girls behind the counter go. If you werent dead set on getting a piercing when you walked in, these two could easily make you wanna leave.

I took my daughter for her 18th birthday to get her first piercing! The wait was long, but the employees were very nice and professional. They even gave my daughter a 50% discount for her birthday. We will be going back for sure! Were planning mom and daughter tattoos.

Took my 15 year old daughter to get her septum pierced here, the same place I was pierced 15 years ago. Same great service ❤ the girl up front was so sweet & let my daughter make the jewelry choice and the piercer was super nice during the whole thing and helped put us both at ease. Everything was cleaned & sterile. This is definitely a locals favorite❤

I got my tongue pierced here last week. The ladies at the front desk were okay. I felt ignored for a while, when I was returning the information but other than that it was good. The piercer was super nice and funny. He got it done really quick and gave me aftercare instructions. I plan to go back, especially since the piercings are $10. Love it.

I want to edit and say that my NAME here is not my legal name as I am trans, so of course you wont have this name in your records, maybe you could reach out personally to people instead of calling them liars? real professional lol.I got my nose pierced September of 2019. I have not removed the piercing at all, but when for the past year it would not heal!!! I paid $30 for the expensive jewelry that is supposed to not react to your skin allergies at all. I cleaned it as much as I was supposed to daily and left it alone other than that. I had a pustule for the longest time! I took it out and the pustule went away. I also had my dermals done here and they would not heal either. My lip ring here would not heal. I took that out as well. I went somewhere else to get my dermals removed and was told by the piercer there that this place uses POOR QUALITY that are bad for people with skin allergies!!! No wonder NONE of my piercings would heal!!! I bought new nose ring from that place and did NOT HAVE A PROBLEM!!!I do not recommend this place at all. I have no idea who the heck is giving them 5 stars but yall suck and are very unprofessional.

Nose piercing experience was very smooth. I read reviews on this job so I knew who they were as soon as I walked it. My piercer named was Simp maybe short for Simple cause his process is simple and straight to the point. Was very nervous at the beginning but left feeling great. Thanks Simp!

I’ve already posted about my mothers tattoo and how horrible that day went and someone decided to respond to my comment saying my moms skin color was too dark for the tattoo she wanted. She wanted a green tattoo and she’s WHITE AND IRISH. She is one of the lightest skinned women i know. So nice try but try again. Do NOT go to this place. They don’t even know the difference between a person with a deep skin tone and a person with a light one.

This was my first time peircing anything after I had my ears peirced. I was very nervous but the lovely people up front patiently answered all of my questions, explained everything in detail, and walked me through my options for a nostril peircing. They were also able to take me as a walk in. Kylo did the peircing and he was amazing!! He was kind and extremely knowledgable. I felt very faint afterwards like the newb that I am, and he knew right away and took wonderful care of me. Cannot recommend him and VB Ink enough!

I came to Virginia Beach for a girls weekend and we both knew that we wanted tattoos while there. We did some research and read reviews and decided we wanted to try Virginia Beach Ink. We got there when they opened and immediately knew this is where we wanted to get them done. The ladies at the front were so friendly and informative, the shop was so clean and so inviting. I wanted to get writing on my forearm and Brian was going to be my artist. He listened to exactly what I wanted and drew up a perfect design. He gave helpful opinions and took the time to make sure it was exactly where I wanted it placed prior to starting. During the whole experience he made sure I was comfortable and he was so gentle with the needle. He was so meticulous and kept touching up until he felt it was perfect, and it ended up being perfect! I highly recommend this shop and Brian for any tattoo needs!

TL;DR: I got pierced by them twice a couple years ago, both in the same hole (after healing) because of a botched job. Piercing never healed right and was pretty crooked. Youre better off at Finders Keepers.I had a friend pierce my ears about 5 years ago on a whim. The right lobe healed fine but the left didnt take; I let it heal over and went to VB Ink because it was close by at the time and I figured a professional would be a safer bet.They were professional and clean, but thats where the quality ended for me. The first time I got it done I told them I have metal allergies; they gave me surgical steel which they assured me would be safe. That piercing got irritated and never healed, no matter what I did. I pulled it out, let it heal over, and used vitamin E oil massages daily to break up any scar tissue.I got it a second time; this one hurt way more and the artist was kind of rough with it. It also came out cockeyed and didnt match my other lobe. This one they claimed was titanium and I paid extra for it, but the piercing still got irritated; if it was titanium, it must have been low-grade or something because after a whole YEAR of after care it never took. Each time I came in they said to just keep doing after care and wait. I got fed up and took it out to let it heal over. I waited another two years (with vitamin E oil massages) before taking my business to Finders Keepers in Norfolk. That was in April and, after the exact same aftercare regimen as before, the piercing has healed beautifully. The artist even managed to remove some of the scar tissue from the last three botched jobs. I cant see myself going back to VB Ink for a piercing again, the results speak for themselves.

Jamie! She is your go-to for fine line tattoos.I actually found her through her Instagram and was so impressed by her work. We didnt come for anything big, but my twin sister and I wanted matching tattoos that were all lines.Jamie fit us in last minute and nailed the piece and was just so nice. She explained every step and even went above and beyond with dressing the tattoo when we were done.Highly recommend her and the shop down there. It says a lot when an artist has been working at the same shop for 10+ years and that is definitely what you will find here.The best part of this shop was they are welcoming. The person at the front desk and Jamie made the experience so enjoyable. If you are considering a first tattoo or some line specific- definitely head here first.

Absolutely LOVE this place. I have had multiple piercings done.The most recent, I fainted. They gave me Coke and cookies, did not rush me out of the chair, watched until my coloring came back and let me stay until I felt well enough to drive. They are very personable, clean, professional and I absolutely recommend. Shimp is the best!

Ive come here for all my piercings, and Ive had an awesome experience each time. The front staff always answers my questions and are never rude, there is one girl that always has a snooty look but she is polite, and efficient. I usually prefer Kat to do my piercings, but whoever does it does a fine job. They make it comfortable and quick, and they do it right the first time. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get a piercing done!

Went to get my nose pierced, a simple piercing. Was told I’d be helped in a sec & to have a seat. Just to sit there for 10 minutes & be told the piercing is done for today . When the cut off time 6:45. It’s 6:20 😑

I got my nose pierced here 3 months ago and everything had gone fine until I went to the beach 3 separate times and and the stud fell out each time I went. I went to a different piercing place in VB and they told me that the type of stud you use (with the hook) is outdated and no one uses them anymore. I got it re pierced with a flat rod and it already feels so much better. Also, I was charged 60 dollars for the “highest grade” of titanium here and was told it was cheap and not good quality.

Got my first piercing here, it was a daith. They did an amazing job, we’re very sweet and helpful, and the actual piercing was quick, clean, and not that painful. I would highly recommend Shimp to anyone! It healed very fast (fully within 3 months) and never got infected or anything like that. Love the facility overall. Definitely going back!

I had a very good experience here! Went in for my first tattoo I was getting a matching tattoo with my girlfriend and Josh fit us in that night. He stayed later than normal (until midnight, way after they closed) to finish. He did a very good job and everyone who worked there seemed very nice!

I had been wanting to get my Daith pierced for a while now. Finally decided to do it while out running errands with the bf. We tried one place recommended by a friend but their piercer was out for the day. Searched other local places and found VB Ink. We were both pleasantly surprised. The store is incredibly clean, well-lit, and the staff are super friendly. I’ve had several tattoos done before but this was my first piercing - when I told them, they were super informative and explained all about jewelry quality, pain, aftercare, etc. Prices were about average and not bad at all!If I ever need another piercing I would definitely go back here, thanks VB ink!

While vacationing in Virginia Beach I wanted a tattoo to remember my trip and I looked up shops in the area and decided to try this shop out. Josh was awesome and took me as a walk-in. Super clean shop, and very inviting and friendly staff. My tattoo only took about a half hour and Josh chatted with me the entire time making my experience super relaxing. I came across Virginia Beach Ink Tattoo and Piercing Studio at the Virginia Beach Tattoo Festival this past weekend. I just moved here from Jersey so wasnt too familiar with the tattoo and piercing shops around here but I absolutely love this place! I got my septum pierced at the festival by Kat B and I liked her so much, I went to the shop to get my nipples pierced by her. All the employees are very nice and welcoming. Kat B did an amazing job on everything, she is also quick, accurate and knows how to draw your attention away from the needle. I will definitely be going here for any piercings that I am craving. Thanks so much!

Went to get 2 piercings done and the piercer who goes by Shimp rushed the entire process and didnt even follow proper cleaning procedures before doing one of my piercings (my smiley). I understand wanting to move fast- but you dont rush piercings or tattoos. Doesnt matter how skilled you are. Piercer also doesnt go over aftercare tips/advice, doesnt examine your body to make sure the piercings youre tying to get will be okay for you, and doesnt explain the process of what hes doing at all. Luckily I already have plenty of piercing experience which is how Im able to pinpoint everywhere he went wrong. This is not a good place for anyone getting pierced for the first time.

I had an amazing experience here! The staff was friendly and perfect! I was in and out in no time, got my Monroe pierced. The piercer was perfect and knew exactly what he was doing and my piercing looks GREAT! I would recommend them to everyone!

I took my niece here to get her nose pierced. The place was extremely clean and the workers were easy going and very knowledgeable about what they were doing. Definitely the best tattoo/piercing place Ive been to. Id give them 6/5 stars if I could.

Went to get my ears done and the dude did a good job.

They sold me a piercing (THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH) and told me it wouldnt turn green, but it did. I came back a week later and they said they didnt recognize me and dont recognize THEIR OWN PIERCING they sold me. They said I was out of luck and Id have to buy a new one with NO refund or discount to get another one because it was bought with cash (which they made me do)... Disgraceful, dont go here if you dont want to be robbed. On top of all of this, they were also rude both times which is odd because youd think since theyre offering a service, it would be in their best interest to be polite.Edit: Owner responds and rather than owning their mistake and correcting it, they choose to call their customers liars and deny the incident ever took place. Saying phrases like hope your day gets better and you were mistaken as to where it was purchased from. Nice scam, make them pay cash then deny all responsibility.

Beyond incredible. I had my septum done last year by them, and my double nostrils almost a week ago. I HIGHLY recommend VA Beach Ink. Got a tattoo here about 2 weeks ago. The staff is incredibly nice and very helpful. Shawn did my work and did it beautifully. I came in with an idea and he turned it into a great tattoo. Will go back for any future work.

Very quick if youre looking for a walk in piercing. I spent about 20 minutes here. Got my nostril pierced and they used nickel jewelry which caused me to break out with oozing blisters and rashes all over my face, neck and body. Went back to the piercer to show him the super red and irritated piercing after 2 weeks of cleaning it and he told me to just keep cleaning it and he recommended a product to me that they sold. I didnt realize it was an allergic reaction until TWO MONTHS after having these terrible rashes and I fell ill and the blisters all got infected. Also went with a friend to get his septum pierced and the piercer pierced it so crooked, it was visibly crooked from any angle you looked at it, so we went back in and they removed it and said it was only crooked because of the way his nose is (uhh okay..?), he paid with card and tipped before the piercing and they said in order to get his money back, he had to go through court. Couldnt even give him his tip back!! Terrible service and very unprofessional. Cheap piercings but at what cost??? NO piercing shop should be piercing with nickel! Many people have allergies to it. Will not be going back or recommending them. Also I might add it is very concerning that they dont allow anyone to come into the room with you when you are getting pierced. Very sketchy.

I took my mother to get a tattoo for her birthday, I flew to Virginia just for this. The tattoo artist Brian was extremely frustrated over a very simple design, telling my mother her design was wrong, and rolling his eyes while shrugging his shoulders and very unfriendly (not personable at all). With the amount of tattoos I have, as well as my family, we have never been told what we want is wrong or been treated as if we are an inconvenience to the artist. With the amount of tattoo shops around here, I would definitely go somewhere else.

Yesterday my friends and I went in on a whim for tattoos. Dorse was able to fit us in later in the day. We are all so happy with our tatts. Great service. I have had my piercings and tattoos done here for over 10 years.

Came in about 2 months ago for a nostril piercing and had a wonderful experience, everyone was pleasant. I returned on Saturday 2/22 around 5-6pm to purchase jewelry for my nose. The lady at the front counter had an attitude and my boyfriend also noticed it. I tried to brush it off but it bothered me too much I felt super uncomfortable so I just picked out what I wanted, paid, and left. When I got my nose pierced it was pierced with and L shaped piece. The jewelry I purchased were the corkscrew nose rings. I was going to ask if they had any of the L shaped but I felt really uncomfortable asking because she spoke to me the whole time as if I was bothering her. Wish the service was different..

I usually allow ONLY Kat to pierce me! I let someone else pierce me because she wasnt there and I was too excited to wait for her to come back. It wasnt done properly so Kat re-pierced me and it was perfect! No complications what so ever. Ive been going to her since I was 17 and Ill be 21 this year. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is very welcoming. If you go there on the weekends it will be packed, luckily Kat moves fast! Ive never waited more than 30 mins. For exotic piercings shell ask another employee to sit there (for her safety) but youll never feel uncomfortable.

I wouldn’t say my experience was bad. bc it wasn’t. but i got my septum pierced here, and i followed all of the instructions of aftercare, i don’t touch it, i used the saline solution, i paid extra for the jewelry without nickel, and when he pierced my septum and put the jewelry in i told him it feels like he pierced a piece of my cartilage and he looked me dead in the face and said he did NOT, it’s been two months and i’ve seen several different piercers to check out my septum that just WONT heal, and hurts, and EVERYTHING. i do know it takes a couple months but i know i should not still be having pain like this. turns out he did actually pierce my cartilage bc my septum piercing should be higher up, even with my deviated septum. i do not mind much as it’ll still heal (HOPEFULLY) just irritated it was done incorrectly. he barely pierced the cartilage just the very tip of it but it’s still causing problems for me.

Got all my face piercings here and they do an amazing job love the piercers and the workers are super helpful and friendly can’t wait to get my next piercings here!!!

My sister and I came in earlier today to get some piercings. It was busy, but everyone was super nice and welcoming - the wait wasn’t bad at all (in & out in an hour)!We will definitely be back.

The shop didnt have any ideas of Tattoos readily available to select from. I was handed on tattoo artist book of work that was completely empty. Some of the staff seemed lost and confused. I was told one time to wait for an artist then another staff member came out and told me it would be hours later. I was then offered to work with another tattoo artist and was told it would be right then-that tattoo artist walked around outside of the shop drinking a soda after waiting an additional 20 mins I was told he was setting up now and that I needed to pay for my services before even meeting the artist at that time I just left with no work done. I was visiting from out of state and was very disappointed.I am very knowledgeable of the process for tattoos and really offended that you are not slave drivers being that you all were white and I was the only African American at you establishment. I did know exactly what artwork i wanted but you should always offer an interested person to see some of the artwork done by the artist I did have an appointment and the guy was not on time. Close Your shop if this is how you operate

Last summer I came in to get a third piercing on each lobe and after the initial visit I realized that the one on my right ear was crooked and didn’t match the other side. I called and they said to come on in and they’d check it out, a different piercer was there that day and said to go ahead and take it out and to come back in 2 weeks. I went back for the repierce on the right side and after the piercer did it before I even noticed he said that that one was doing the same thing and was crooked as well. The piercer felt really bad and took it out immediately, and I again waited for it to close up and went back for my last visit, that time the piercer asked me to take out all of my earrings before he pierced so he could see why it looked uneven. Third time was the charm.

I went in to get a smiley piercing and was told I could not get the piercing. The piercer barely even checked before she flat out told me that she could not do it. I felt as though she just brushed me off and just didn’t want to do my piercing. I kindly told her thank you and went to Ocean Mystique where they were more than happy to do my piercing and treated me like a paying customer ! I would not recommend Virginia Beach Ink to anyone!

My family always comes here for our piercings. Our last visit my mother needed her nose repierced and I got a navel piercing. The young gentleman at the front who had us fill out the paper work was super nice and our piercer Shimp is great! The process is always quick and easy!

Wife called to see if they do wedding band tattooes. She was told yes and to make an appointment via instagram or just walk in. Could not find how to make an appointment via instagram drove 30 mins to walk in on Oct. 16 2022 to be informed that we needed to talk to the artist who was doing a tattoo at the time left $100 deposit came back 2 hrs later just to be told by Brian W. that he does not like to do ring or wedding band tattoos. We did recieve our $100 deposit back however we wasted over 2 and a half hrs driving and waiting just to be told no.Update: In response to the owner,Say that Brian W. doesnt like to do them is the same thing I stated which is Brian W. Does not like to do ring or wedding band if he is giving us reasons why he doesnt like to do them then he is actively trying to talk us out of it. No one cares about the reasons an artist does not like to do them. People just care about can he do the tattoo?. If not then who? We were very realistic the conversation was can we get wedding ring tattoos then we were ask what we wanted. So we showed pictures and said something like this. We were told we cant do anything like that which was okay by us. We then offered Brian W. An extra $100 for him to design what ever he wanted as our wedding bands which he did not say anything just continued to state the reason why he does not like to do wedding ring tattoos. You could has show us a tattoo book with ring tattoos and we would have pick one off the pictures. Hell in your next response you can put ring tattoo that you have done and we could tell you one that we would have chosen. Our expectation are simple and easy. The bottomline is Brian W. Does not like to do ring tattoos or any tattoos on the fingers. What you can do better is identify which artist like to do/are willing do ring tattoos. Let people know who they are and when they are available. Provide a link from your website to schedule appointments could be a link which leads to instagram instead of tell people to randomly search for the artist on instagram. You could also do it through an appointment app in order to not give personnel info to other people. Additionally, you could have a tattoo book with tattoos you have done on a book displayed by sections for example a hand tattoo section with the artist who are will to do them.

We were in town for vacation and asked a store owner where to get a piercing she suggested Va Ink. We read some reviews and loved the responses by management from butt hurt people who didn’t tell the full truth. The staff were professional and it was clean and plan on visiting again for a tattoo?

Only went there for piercings, but overall I received great service. I went there to get my septum, conch, and tragus pierced and none of them got infected. When I was nervous they were able to work with me. I went there 3 different occasions and each time I only received good service. I will definitely continue to go to VB Ink.

My daughter had her naval pierced today. They where amazing. She is visually impaired so its a little more challenging. The people at front desk where amazing. Very helpful and considerate. Shemp did her piercing. Amazing man. Did great job, very good job. Made her veey comfortable. And talked her through it all.

I have gotten about four piercings here and I always have a great experience. Its always short and sweet. The price is, obviously, unbeatable. $10 for above the belt piercings. The piercers are always nice, and so is the staff. And for all the bad reviews well just remember that youre most likely to hear from unsatisfied customers, than satisfiedcu stomers.

Shimp did a second nose piercing for my mom a little while ago, and to say the least it was horrible. he put the dot on her nose and it was uneven, she asked him to change it and he did to, even worse spot and then said “thats as good as its gonna get” when all he had to do was move is down slightly.

0 customer service. If it’s not communicating via instagram they don’t want to help you. I just drive from Norfolk just to talk to someone and they were completely unintressed in me or my business. The lady behind the counter finally said she had someone to talk to and then the lady copped an attitude with me as soon as I left and said I didn’t wanna talk to anybody with stellar customer service I don’t know why anybody would ever want to come there

I was so excited to get my nose pierced, and I love it!!! It was like an hour and a half wait because they were busy and I didn’t mind. Busy means business is good. So I got my left nose pierced and I bought titanium metal it is expensive but if you do your research you’ll know why. It is cash only but they do have an ATM. It took 5 mins, your gonna feel a sharp pain for like 15 seconds and then it’s gone. They give you a pamphlet on the Do’s and Don’ts and you have an opportunity to buy the aftercare solution. I hopefully plan to return to get a tattoo!!!

I live in New Jersey but I went to college in the area; VB Ink & Tattoo is the only place Ive ever gone for piercings. Danielle and Shimp have both pierced me and both are phenomenal, professional, and precise. I went back last Saturday to get a titanium industrial with my boyfriend. First Shimp checked our ear anatomy to see if we could support the mod, which thankfully we both could! They were clean, considerate, and communicative throughout by telling us when and how to breathe, by ensuring plenty of opportunity to ask questions before & after poke, and by giving sound advice to questions and to common issues.We left with a bottle of their saline aftercare solution each, two new holes in our ear, and two instructions: 1) to use unscented soap & cotton swabs to clean in the shower (orange Dial soap was recommended, but my store was out so I went with unscented palmolive dish soap), and 2) while cleaning to try to ensure the area stays clean and flushed of all dried blood and bacteria.Its been about four days since and I have little to no pain at all. Theres a bit of pressure from expected swelling, but aside from passing by a mirror and checking myself out (and over-ear headphones for now lol) I have no clue its even there. You rock Shimp, thank you so much!!!!!VB Ink will probably be the only place I go for piercings in the future; I can expect cleanliness, professionalism, and knowledge from them, and theyre also really friendly which makes you feel good about the process at every step of the way.

I was in the shop the other day, for a brief amount of time. I planned on getting my nose pierced and unfortunately I had to leave. The blonde girl at the front desk made a super uncomfy comment to a coworker, there about wanting to sleep with her so she should dump her boyfriend. Super inappropriate and gross. She gave me really gross vibes. She also gave me the DIRTIEST look when I went in, don’t know if it’s all the tattoos and blue hair, or if it’s cause I’m plus sized but she was not happy to see me. Despite being a paying customer.Next time I’m in Virginia Beach I won’t be coming back.

I was referred here by my sister n law for a lip piercing! I got it done last night..12/17/15. Friendly staff, comfortable and clean environment! Okay place. Piercings pretty cheap. Probably wont go back tho. The piercer doesnt seem to care much about your aftercare. Just asks, You have any questions? Then tries to sell you their version of aftercare spray which does nothing, but costs $10.... the front desk people were pretty nice.Ive gotten 3 piercings here over the course of 5 years, they changed ownership/mgmt after my 2nd piercing & the vibe in there is waaay diff than before. at the end of the day, Id rather pay a bit more to have some one who actually loves their job & is concerned about my healing process, pierce me.

I got my nose pierced on Saturday. It was a present to myself for my 65th birthday. I was nervous, scared and actually felt to old to be doing this by looks of the customers waiting for service. The staff was very polite, eased my nervousness and didnt seem to care at all about my age. Shimp, the piercer, is the best. While preparing for my piercing, he talked and let me know everything he was doing before he started the procedure. He marked my nostril and asked if the spot was okay. He told me to take a deep breath and then blow it out. Before I could finish blowing, he said Im done and asked if I was okay. Then he explained the dos and donts and if I had any questions or concerns later, dont hesitate to contact him.

I come here for all of my piercings and they always turn out amazing! I love the atmosphere here, and although Ive yet to get a tattoo here, highly recommend coming here for all your piercings and tattoos

I got a piercing. It was great as far as that, so far. Still healing :) Id suggest no one buy sterile Saline from here. The one I bought, the spray part was sticking after like 3 weeks so I opened up the inside and there was mold growing in it. I immediately threw it out and bought some sterile Saline from CVS instead. The CVS one is near their bandages and says sterile saline wound wash first said cleanser 0.9% sodium chloride solution. Id suggest everyone buy that instead of the sterile saline they sell here.

Do not get piercings here. A painful bump formed on the back of my cartilage piercing after 4 weeks. Went in to ask them about it, and without taking one look at my piercing the woman at the counter diagnosed me with a keloid due to “improper cleaning.” This was told to me by the same woman who “highly highly recommended” that I purchase their cleaning spray for my piercing and when I asked if I needed other cleaners, she assured me I did not. They were very inconsiderate and rude to me and blamed my keloid forming on using a cleaner they recommended to me.

I was super nervous to get my second piercing but the entire staff was incredibly nice and answered all of my questions. All in all it was just an amazing experience. I would definitely go there again for my next piercing.

I got my nipples pierced here and i loveeee them kyle was AMAZING and he made me feel so comfortable and safe and he was insanely quick and i kinda came late and they weren’t rude about it or anything so i appreciate y’all for that

I went to set up as tattoo. What a waste of time. The artist booked an appointment for 11:30 on a specific day. The artist till the night before confirmed the appointment. The morning of, I get a message saying he realized he overbooked the time and can’t do the INK. Not only did the artist cancel but made no effort in returning to find a solution. I don’t recommend this place and they wasted my day on vacation above away from family as the family had planned their day and next in the morning. I believe this place is very unprofessional and have no care for the clients. I wasted my time am week waiting for this in to happen to only not happen.

My experience at Virginia Beach ink was awesome! Everyone there was friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for a tattoo or a piercing, I highly recommend going here.

Came in to get my daughter a cartilage piercing and was told VA state law holds tattoo shops to a “higher standard” than mall piercing shops and won’t allow piercings unless you have the child’s birth certificate present. I looked up the state law and that is false. I chose this tattoo establishment because I prefer to patron small, local businesses but we will keep our money and visit a chain. You should brush up your staff on the state laws or just keep losing easy money. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I just got my tattoo done by Shawn and it was a great experience, very nice and pleasant! But I do see what the other reviews mean by the uninviting feeling when you talk to the Older lady at the front. But other than her I would recommend this place.

Very professional and no hassle getting my 13 year olds earlobes pierced like we had tried at several other places. My daughter is happy and thats what counts!!! Will go back for any other piercing needs we will see about tattoos in the future too

I went here for my first cartilage piercing, a pretty simple helix. The lady at the front desk was rude, and made me feel ignorant because I had no experience with piercing. The piercer did a good job, but she didnt give me any aftercare instructions or any idea when I could change out the bar I was pierced with! I wouldnt even have known the bar I was pierced with needed to be changed if I hadnt done research online for myself. Plan to take my business elsewhere for my next piercing.

I have gotten piercings here and so has my family and friends. Also gives you peace of mind when it always smells like rubbing alcohol or a clean hospital. Comfortable, clean, and affordable. I love it there.

I’ve gotten all my piercings from here and now my friends get all their piercings from here. The staff is so friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I live 45 minutes away but it’s always worth the drive.

So to begin. I went in for a PA piercing. Literally everything you can find including the piercing handbook recommends 10gauge for this, I was pierced at 14gauge. The issue is that after a week of dealing with the pain from the piercing I went to one here where I live and spoke with the owner, she explained and showed me that I had not only the hole used for the PA but also was pierced through part of the skin under the head so evidently I got a 2 for 1unwanted special. This caused extreme discomfort and irritation and made it difficult to do anything ie work, walk or sit certain ways let along if I even got excited alittle bit it was excruciatingly painful. This leading to the point of having to remove the piercing and now I have to wait and let it heal before getting it redone correctly. I hope the owner sees this and anyone else who thinks about getting pierced here. I will gladly talk to the owner if they respond.

One of my friends works there, so I went in to get my nostril pierced. Pony was so quick and smooth about it I honestly didnt even feel the needle go in. The staff seemed really nice and friendly too, though I was literally in there no longer than 20 minutes with how fast it was.

Got a helix piercing done. Shimp was patient with my questions and nervousness and the piercing itself was very fast. The people at the front desk were also amazing with customer service and answering my questions

They suck, they were very rude and blunt, in phone and in person. The piercer didnt give me any instruction on how to take care of my piercing. Julie Pereira was the receptionist, she sucked and made me feel like it was an inconvenience to talk to when I asked questions. Will not be returning.

Great piercing tech (male) very soothing and calming barely felt pain however the reception 4\24\19 failed to relay my jewlry size to him resulting in a unfavorable size jewelry very disappointing making me contemplate on removing it!!!! I brought it to her attention she then began to be deceptive ensuring that itwas indeed the larger size one. I know this to be untrue ive had this peircing done here before with the larger jewelry that i had REQUESTED. I did not want to be difficult as i seen more costumers come in prop why she just dismissed my concerns and i left unsatified with that particular piercing, just make sure yu remind your peircing tech on all the specifics do not rely on the receptionist as this was my mistake

I went get my nipples pierced and everyone was very friendly.Kat (The piercer) was very comforting and kind. she did it pretty quick and i was in and out quick as well. I recommend this place 100%.

DISAPPOINTED!!! ADA & Federal & State law about service dogs was violated & service dog was forced to separate from handler. If you are DISABLED & have a SERVICE DOG, i would highly recommend you NOT to go here.thanks for the response…BUT actually they are a SERVICE DOG not an ESA (emotional support animal) which i explained SEVERAL times & i was totally disregarded. She is a tasked trained SERVICE DOG that assists me with my DISABILITIES…please note i am well informed about the laws and regulations concerning WORKING DOGS & the difference between the two (ESA).If i were you, i would try to be less ignorant to the fact that Laws were broken. I highly suggest you look up Virginia code 51.5-44.

Joshua is a gem! Light handed and a great conversationalist. Does his best to put your mind at ease. Ive got several tattoos from when I lived in New York and he was the first artist Ive had do any ink for me here in Virginia and will be my go to tattoo artist.

Me and my best fried Jessica Just walked in and out I am a repeat customer. They have low reasonable prices on their piercing .Walked in filled paper payed didnt even sit got called back by kat friendly and kind, got my dermal and left!!!! Best friend got in got her hood pierced walk out that quick all done!!!!Well recommended !!!!

Over priced. They charged a ridiculous amount of money for a small tattoo and the artist didnt even come out to speak to us and actually see the size we wanted. Nice shop but I would not recommend them. I do understand you pay for your art and I have a huge amount of good art but never in the hundreds for some thing super small.

This Shimp guy is a joke. Dont get pierced here if you dont want an infection. I have had plenty of piercings and the only 2 I have ever had a problem with were done by Shimp. The first time, I went in for a Monroe, and he DROPPED THE SCREW ON PIECE ON THE FLOOR, picked it up and put it right on me. The second time was just a nose piercing, which also got extremely infected, even after buying the sprays they said I needed to fix them. I will never go back to that dude, should have learned my lesson the first time.

All the staff was very helpful and inviting. The process was super easy anx they gave really good instructions on how to take care of my piercing.

I havent got a tattoo or piercing here but went in once with my younger sister to ask questions. They were helpful and very honest. Will be back when we are absolutely ready. Thanks for the advice

I called in today to see about if there was a piercer in that does tongue piercings because blue horseshoe tattoo and piercing on has one that does tongue on Friday’s and Saturday’s. So I called and asked and the lady was very rude and then to top it off hung up on me when I tried explaining about blue horseshoe. I was only considering going here because it’s close and blue horseshoe doesn’t have one right now. Will never go here.

I have gotten 8 piercings done by Shimp at virginia beach ink. I have also taken several of my friends to him for piercings. Every time i have been treated well by all the staff i interact with and my piercings come out perfectly and so have the piercings my friends got. One time one didnt come out perfectly once it healed he repierced it for free. He always makes sure im doing ok, is professional, and always answers any questions i have. I wont go to anyone for a piercing and i wont take my friends anywhere else either!

I love this place!!! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. After taking my nose ring out numerous times and couldnt get it back in, they did it for me, every time for free!! I went to Virginia Beach Ink with a friend and I got two dermals on my chest. The man who did them had me sit up straight and did the marks, which at the time, looked fine. During the process he didnt ask me if i was okay, if i was going to pass out of if i was okay or anything, and he bandaged me up and sent me home bleeding. After he did the piercings, i didnt look much at them at the studio because I was trusting in his work. After I got home i realized that they were super crooked when i would stand or sit normally. I went back a couple days later and the people behind the counter agreed that they looked crooked, and i asked them if i could have one of them removed and re done, and they told me that there was absolutely no way they could do that, that i would have to have both of them taken out, wait until they healed, and come back and get them done, which healing takes a month or so. They also told me that i should just tell the people who were noticing that they were crooked that i liked them and that it didnt matter, even though i clearly stated that i was not satisfied with the work! I would not in a million years ever recommend ANYONE to go to this shop for a piercing. Not to mention all they have is basic jewerly for dermals that you cant interchange the colors! I advise everyone to go somewhere else for their piercings.

I got belly button piercing. The staff was really great and it was super quick! It was great service for such a cheap price. I would definitely go back there if I had two belly buttons.

Beautiful clean decor. A bit of a wait but excellent for walk-in which few other tattoo places take. Excellent tattoo artist Josh actually drew hand drew the tattoo! Great front desk service.
